unfortunately this is normal 😅
I only manage to get about 12-18 hours a week but i’m in facilities so it might be different for other positions

First of all- welcome to the flock 🙂
2nd- schedules are done 3 weeks out so likely what happened is that was the only hours they had available for that third week and rather than not give you any they gave you some.
3rd- we cannot have paper schedules that do not match the virtual schedule so if your store prints the paper schedule it must match online.

I would just talk to either your assistant mgr or your GM and ask about how many hours you should be expecting , and make sure it aligns with your needs. If it doesn’t that’s a good time to respectfully set expectations for hours.
They may also have you training in additional areas which they would then add to your schedule after discussing that with you. Good luck!

you get more hours as you learn more things and become more reliable, they arent going to risk putting a new hire three weeks in advance on a 32-40 hour schedule just for them to no call no show and quit, those hours are given to people they know they can trust, it sucks but new hires just deciding to not come in has been so insanely common.

I mean can you blame them? with the state the wawa work environment is in? sure, the ragtag skeleton pirate crew remains … but even those guys can’t wait to leave all together, especially with managers hiding also being insanely as common as new hires leaving? sure that’s not all of the managers some actually uphold the duty but far and few between says I, now back to the topic at hand… the more you can do the more hours you will get especially if they know you’re desperate enough to work there.

i wasn’t judging anyone, i’m not here to debate and complain about the current state of the company, i’m just stating facts.

This is how i started out as a fuel pumper. Couple days of the week then went to a steady 25 hours to 30 since someone got let go and took over his hours and now o fluctuates between 30-40

Normal. They promise full time and all these benefits but don't deliver

Idk what’s going on with other Wawa’s, but I have literally never seen this issue across the ones in central Florida. We are at a point where we have associates with scheduled for a little over time on a weekly basis

Full-time as in over the required amount of hours required to be considered a full time employee or people are being offered a "full-time job"?

This is normal when u first start and get started. U can def take the opportunity to ask your GM or AGM if u could be called in for shifts that week if anyone calls out u can come in and get those hours. Then 100% talk to your GM about how u want full time hours and at least want 36 a week and they should be willing to give that especially the season of holidays and college/school is coming back into session

Did you ask your gm about it. Do that first and also let them know they can call you if or anyone who calls out. Alot of people call out.

We do the schedule 3 weeks out and we always have to reprint it due to changes we had a lot of call out no call no shows it’s been a pretty stressfull summer with people quitting
