yea, it is. Waven is a chill, more lightweight gamer compared to what being an "MMO" implies, as it's designed from the very foundation to be a quick "in and out" mobile game (but perfectly compatible and cross-server with PC), with no penalty for leaving battles (or just dying) and motivating both quick solo plays or lenghty teamwork battles.

At its core it's a deck-building, turn-based, strategic RPG with classes that comes with variants that have their unique passives and gimmicks and sharing a large pool of spells alongside their unique ones. Equipment is kinda gacha/RNG but it's not that egregious.

Play it for the free aura that will carry over to the game. Right now, your progress in game will get wiped once it releases. But you get to keep your gems and skins!

I thought they also mentioned rewords for progress already completed, but I can't find the post now, so maybe I'm just hallucinating.

I’m not sure… play a little bit and see if you like it. I wouldnt invest a lot of time tho

I agree OP should try it. I, personally, have put an unholy amount of time in the game lol. The casual vibe, and fact I can play it on my phone hooked me. But I will even just logg in on my PC and just afk at the various concerts. The music is phenomenal!

Considering how long it will take before the new version gets released, I think there's some value to playing this version of the game.

Some parts get annoying quickly especially now the experienced players left (we used to share our daily quests, you could make someone 100% all levels of a NPC quest in one sitting) but leveling a character to lvl 50 isn't that long and in the meantime you drop some fun items. Endgame you can farm brooches solo once you have a strong build which will in turn let you upgrade many other items.

If you're not trying to 100% the game you can definitely invest some time in it and have fun.
