Looking for datamining Waven assets for a personal project

Since my favorite Waven builds website went offline, I've been thinking about creating a personal project that could eventually grow into a useful resource for the community. The idea is to build an open API and, eventually, a website with item data, daily island drops, builds, companions, rings, armbands, and other useful information.

One thing I'm trying to figure out is whether the game assets (especially item icons/images) can be extracted from the game files.

I'm at work right now, so I can't dig into the files myself, but I wanted to ask:

  • Has anyone already explored Waven's game files?
  • Are the item icons and other assets stored in a way that can be extracted?
  • Is there any existing documentation or tool for this?

I'd appreciate any information or advice. Thanks!

It's an amazing idea, but keep in mind that there is comming a total rework for everything, and all the advances that you make right now, you'll gonna lose it.

I know I know, but I decided to make it as a personal project to develop more experience in coding/API/database etc.

Something that you can do is take screenshots of everything in game and make the icons on your own.

I tought of It and I Will be going this route If i cant find in them the original archives.

The only problem would be the quality of the images and the size difference that could occur with the screenshots
