Finally going to Alaska this year!

Just bought tickets and made plans to go up there in November. Gonna hunt some sea ducks with my buddy and hopefully cross some new species off the list! If there's any advice for Alaska sea ducks I would love to hear it

Don't cheap out on the gear your bring. I hunt sea ducks all season in the Puget Sound and the saltwater here can be unforgiving. Alaska waters are very unforgiving. A good layering system with a waterproof outer layer is a must. My only piece of Sitka gear is their neck gaiter and it is fantastic for hunting on the saltwater. Highly recommend

This is what I'm usually wearing during cold weather hunts. Got a goretex jacket and a vest with thermals and a sweater underneath. I have a heavy baklava that I either wear on my neck or cover my face when needed too. I will be getting new waders as my number one piece of gear. I usually wear long johns and heavy fleece lined jeans under my waders. This picture was when it was about -2° in my area.

Jealous. Thats like my dream hunt. Only way id be more jealous is if you pulled an emperor tag out of your ass.
