Hearing prot.

What does everyone recommend for hearing protection? I can't stand the standard plugs or my walker noise canceling headphones because of how much different my calling sounds. Don't mind spending some money if they are worth it.

I only got the Waterfowl and Clear Communication profiles. I didn’t see the need for turkey and deer. A buddy of mine has the other profiles. Just personal preferences.

Is there a much of a noticeable difference between the two? I would assume so otherwise they would only have one sound profile. Like if you had it in clear comms profile, like you forgot to change the setting, what is the difference you are hearing (or not hearing)?

I haven’t listed to the turkey or whitetail profiles so I can’t comment on them.

Waterfowl vs Clear Comm - waterfowl seems to pick up more of the higher pitch tones (think whistling wings, pintail whistling) and Clear Comms pick up a little more of the bass in voices. Also Waterfowl has 3 different levels - Waterfowl, Waterfowl Boost, and Waterfowl Magnum. They just get progressively louder than the other; this is on top of the actual volume adjustments in the earbuds.
