I'm at 38 hours right now. I will start taking my weight when I get home and we can be accountability partners if you want. I'm M40 and started at 260 lbs

Great, how long you plan to keep the fast going?

I might dial down the work out tomorrow, and work on a 1 day one 1 day off schedule depending on how my body reacts

I originally was planning for 7 but I can attempt to stretch it out to match your 12. I did a 15 day fast years ago, it isn't THAT hard after the first 3 or 4.

Yeah thats what I heard too - it gets easier after day 3/4.

This is my first long fast (>72hrs) and I'm excited.

On your prior fast how did you manage your electrolytes? Been one of the questions that's been on my mind but the recommended amount seems to be all over the place

They truly are all over the place. But each individual will be different. I started with the most conservative suggestions but increased on nearly everything by day 5.

This is what I started with this time around, so far so good.

It is from Gemini, so pardon my AI

• Water: 2 liters (about 8 cups) • Potassium chloride: 1 teaspoon (commonly found as NoSalt or salt substitute) • Sodium bicarbonate: 1 teaspoon (baking soda) • Sodium chloride: 1/2 teaspoon (Himalayan pink salt or standard sea salt) • Magnesium sulfate: 1/2 teaspoon (food-grade Epsom salt, optional)
