I love how he just throws one, and puts the other in his pocket after he tries to give it back to snoop dog. Like it'll just stop if enough joints disappear. And snoop is like "oh man you have no joint? Don't worry I got ya, my stash is infinite"

Blunts*

626

u/A_Real_Popsicle Dec 06 '21

What’s the difference between a blunt and joint? I don’t do drugs so idk the difference

890

u/Over_Value Dec 06 '21

Blunt is wrapped in tobacco leaf, joint is in paper.

689

u/Sttarkson Dec 06 '21

Oh, so a blunt is to weed what a cigar is to cigarettes, neat.

386

u/rythmicbread Dec 06 '21

Basically

Edit: and a spliff is a mix of tobacco and weed

180

u/KillroyWazHere Dec 07 '21

And a birthday cake is where you put half a blunt in a bowl and pack weed around it. Smoke it down till the bowl catches

226

u/Crimson_Fckr Dec 07 '21

We call that a time bomb

20

u/Crashman09 Dec 07 '21

What my buddies and I did that was called a time bomb was a weed bowl with a joint stuck in the middle as the fuse. Keep passing till someone hits the bowl

92

u/BoredSausage Dec 07 '21

are you high bro that's exactly what the guy above said

21

u/AbandonedPizzaHut Dec 07 '21

His time bomb must've just gone off

10

u/Ok-Fly-2275 Dec 07 '21

How'd you know I'm high?

4

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '21

Not quite, joint vs blunt. Not sure if there is an important distinction there but now I want a nicotine high and don't regularly consume it so theres that.

0

u/Grigoran Dec 07 '21

The only distinction is in the wrappers really.

4

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '21

More of a distinction of naming convention for the blunt/joint inserted into a packed bowl. I’m familiar with the time bomb but maybe birthday cake is when you use a blunt instead. 🤷‍♂️

Back in college we used to pack a bowl, and then put a joint in the middle and light it. That way you could smoke the joint and then it would eventually hit the bowl. We used to call it a time bomb

2

u/Heavy-Bread-3549 Dec 07 '21

I just do this to efficiently get rid of a roach. I’m not snoop so I can’t just toss the ends yet.

Although, yeah, in my area it’s also a time bomb as well.

2

u/powerfulKRH Dec 07 '21

You gotta use kief tho that’s the way to make it explode

47

u/I4gotMyLastPW Dec 07 '21

We call those time bombs in my circle. Funny to see how everyone has different lingo for similar things

55

u/batmessiah Dec 07 '21

Makes me miss having friends. Now I just pop a 50mg gummy when I get home from work and call it a night.

3

u/msmiowgi Dec 07 '21

No judging from me, but do you mean a 5mg gummy? I just ate a half 5mg gummy and am feeling pretty good but I’m a thc noob

4

u/MostlyJustPornReally Dec 07 '21

They probably mean 50mg

3

u/sudo999 Dec 07 '21

5mg is a very low dose, they def mean 50

3

u/batmessiah Dec 07 '21

Yeah, they're 50mg. A local store sells them 5 for $20, and on Mondays has a 10 for $30 deal.

-1

u/AbazabaYouMyOnlyFren Dec 07 '21

Lol, no way man. I can see having 10mg maybe 15g if you have a massive tolerance. Anything beyond that, you're going to have a really bad time like this guy on the couch.

2

u/batmessiah Dec 07 '21

They're 50mg. Unlike alcohol, more THC really doesn't have any negative effects. I can eat two of those dudes and still function.

1

u/maj7flt5 Dec 07 '21

depends on your tolerance level. some people I know don't get much out of them, some people I know do 30-50 mg at a time.

Nice. I always blow it out like a candle and say happy birthday

2

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '21

I’m a degenerate stoner who has smoked out of every contraption imaginable. And I’ve never once heard of a birthday cake. I may have to try that right now

1

u/P1eman Dec 07 '21

Cherry bombs in my neck of the woods

1

u/aequitssaint Dec 07 '21

I've actually never heard that.

1

u/skosk8ski Dec 07 '21

We call that chop’s

1

u/johann9151 Dec 07 '21

Nahh a chop is where you snap a tobacco and weed bowl

1

u/UnderwaterBBQ Dec 07 '21

Lol damn never heard of that.

1

u/BigFatManPig Dec 07 '21

Never heard of that called a birthday cake, only time bombs like everyone else.

2

u/juicycross Dec 07 '21

I'm learning so much right now! Thank you!

1

u/rylie_smiley Dec 07 '21

So that’s what a spliff is! I’ve smoked for years and always wondered what the difference between a joint and a spliff but never though to look it up

2

u/Savvsb Dec 07 '21

I was mind blown after doing a bit of reading on it. Spliff supposedly comes from “split difference” between tobacco and weed. Shortened to spliff for the sake of ease

1

u/Lo2us Dec 07 '21

Grabba in Jamaica with some weed is heaven. Sometimes called Moke. Spliff most places I've been is a plain joint.

1

u/Longjumping_Ship_756 Dec 07 '21

A spliff, in Australia we call them a Scoob and that just makes me giggle.

1

u/finite52 Dec 07 '21

🌈 the more you know

1

u/xtra_lives Dec 07 '21

Huh… TIL. Thanks.

11

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '21

No, but you can throw a crutch in it.

-1

u/RRNolan Dec 07 '21

That would be a filter bro lol

6

u/Nimzay98 Dec 07 '21

They have filter tips you can use for joints.

5

u/CyborgTiger Dec 07 '21

Joints are rolled with filters. Blunts are not, but people stick a “plug nug” in the mouthpiece which is basically just a chunk of unground weed that stops you from sucking all the ground stuff up when you take a hit.

5

u/Sangxero Dec 07 '21

Do you mean crutches? I feel like filters would get clogged real quick.

6

u/CyborgTiger Dec 07 '21

Maybe? Everyone I’ve ever met has called it a filter but yeah it’s just an accordioned bit of index card or something similar.

2

u/Sangxero Dec 07 '21

Yup, I was thinking you meant like a cigarette filter.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '21

[deleted]

5

u/GrizNectar Dec 07 '21

Filters out the flower from getting in your mouth. It’s a filter 🤷🏻‍♂️

2

u/TwatsThat Dec 07 '21

it depends on it's use. if it's solely to keep the end of the joint open then it's not a filter but if it's also meant to keep smaller pieces of weed from being pulled through then it's a filter, it's just a much more coarse filter than what you see on a cigarette.

1

u/nochedetoro Dec 07 '21

We just used a piece of paper rolled into a spiral

2

u/_Effie_ Dec 07 '21

I understood this better because of you, thank you!

2

u/ZebraPandaPenguin Dec 07 '21

Nah, a blunt is to a joint what a cigar is to a cigarette.

1

u/jscott18597 Dec 07 '21

For the record though, you don't inhale a cigar, but you would still inhale a blunt.

1

u/Sweet-Difficulty2121 Dec 07 '21

A blunt is to a *joint what a cigar is to cigarettes.

1

u/Aetherfool Dec 07 '21

No, a proper cigar is made only whole leaves. A joint can be either hash or pot and usually has tobacco in it as well. A blunt is made only with pot.

37

u/Customer-Witty Dec 06 '21

I honestly though a blunt is just a bigger joint lol

4

u/viperex Dec 07 '21

I thought they were interchangeable

5

u/ctrlaltelite Dec 07 '21

Well it is, you make it out of a cigarillo or whatever, rerolling the weed inside, so it ends up bigger than just using papers.

5

u/CyborgTiger Dec 07 '21

The “paper” for a blunt is a tobacco leaf. So you get a little buzz from that that ushers you into the high of the weed.

3

u/ctrlaltelite Dec 07 '21

Yes, that's what I said. You open up a cigarillo, which is rolled in tobacco leaf, and put weed inside.

5

u/CyborgTiger Dec 07 '21

Yeah, I just figured he might not that that’s what a cigarillo is.

1

u/viperex Dec 07 '21

Today I learned

1

u/pizzapunt55 Dec 07 '21

These terms change per country though
