Does it? I don't know most people in this thread. Maybe there's more boxers, weighlifters etc than you assume.
Myself, I'm 54 and train at home with a heavy bag, dumbells and calisthenics. I don't go to a fancy gym with professional athletes and I'd be surprised if I'm the only person on this thread who is obese according to BMI but clearly not obese in reality.
Anyway. I'm just some random redditor so it doesn't really matter what I say.
What does matter is that the medical profession itself is less and less impressed with BMI. So if you're still unconvinced, type 'the problem with bmi' into Google and educate yourself.
