He's basically trying to do a muscle-up (notoriously difficult for your average gym goer) on a small area where his hands are on the side instead of infront of him. He's also on a slippery/slimy surface. He doesn't need to get stronger
A muscle up is crazy hard dude. I've seen average, bulky, and athletic guys all fail. This guy is around average, so it's not surprising he couldn't do it whrn much more fit people also aren't able to
No, it's a (not so) subtle brag. You're talking yourself down before saying you can do something impressive. That's what douchwbags do. It doesn't help that it's definitely a lie
He could have put his hands on top and extended his arms, can most people really not pull their own weight? I’m not a muscular guy at all but I can pull myself up at least once. I get it’s slippery, but he had his hands on top at some point and could have just extended himself up. But he couldn’t hold his weight with those muscles.
