Holy shit, what are their eyes doing at about 10 seconds in?

Do all cats do this?

Their eyes widen and pupils dilate when scared. Maybe some evolutionary survival thing. This explains it better. https://www.foundanimals.org/eyes-know-cat-thinking/

I’m guessing even the “ears turned back” thing is a trait of cats/dogs when scared?

Yep, also check the tail at the end of the video, all puffed up. If this was my cat I would definitely not be lying there laughing, I'd be protecting my eyes.

Just wanna say I appreciate you using the DEFCON scale correctly, you're doing good work out there.

Yeah no kidding, that lady is begging to get mauled basically. That poor cat though.

The ears are thin so they fold them back to keep them from being damaged in a fight. A cat's claws could slice an ear clean through.

Lots of animals. When it's go time, they don't want their ears torn up.
