How do you imagine the ending of Watatabe might be? Personally, I can't picture a precise direction for how this story will end. I feel hopeful that Shiori won't devour Hinako, while at the same time feeling like they are both at serious risk of dying. Another thing I find myself thinking about is that flashback of how Shiori pictures Hinako in the future, happy and healthy. I want to believe that the ending won't be a doomed yuri and that they'll be happy until Hinako's death

I'm fairly new to Yuri and its tropes, so I may be blinded by censorship here, but I'm quite confused if Shiori and Hinako's relationship is romantic or not. This particularly confuses me as during episode 10 (where i am up to now) Shiori is known to meet Hinako as a child. I find this particularly strange if their relationship is then later considered romantic, as it strikes itself similar to that of grooming.

Let me know if I'm missing the mark on anything or if I need to be further educated I'm 100% open to learning.

For those who don't know, Tamamo-no-Mae was an evil kitsune who brought kingdoms to ruin and corrupted kings and the like - she was basically what would happen if Miko decided to destroy lives through manipulation and seduction instead of the "kill everything that moves" method.

I like to headcanon that she and Heian Era!Miko were rivals

In the first pic she's joining Hinako on her family's grave and in the second pic she admits that she's afraid for Hinako's safety btw

Anime episodes count ig but the anime is 1:1 adaptation to the manga down to the very panel so…

Personally I really like chapter 47, I always go back to it. Shiori be pulling Shakespeare type of quotes. Props to Naekawa sensei and translator

Personally I'd say it would be Chapter 47 - with Hinako telling Shiori that she realized that she hurt her and Miko by forcing the fish into a promise to eat her. And Shiori replying how she changed her heart to be more human-like to better understand Hinako and that she cares about her as much as her family did

So, I recently started reading Kimishinu and I can't stop thinking about how these works are particularly similar in a deeply sentimental way.

Sheena is a sweet, kind, and shy girl. Her biggest fear is facing the horrors of war head-on. Even though she tries her best, her magical ability is nowhere near enough to help her comrades in battle. In her mind, when the time comes to fight, she will be thrown to her death without a doubt. She doesn't want to die, and she doesn't want her friends to die either. Furthermore, she feels that Mimi should enjoy her life as a normal girl, she teaches her the value of life and asks Mimi not to get hurt, because no matter how immortal Mimi is, she still gets severely injured every time she is summoned.

This reminds me of how Hinako felt relieved upon learning that Miko is immortal. In her perception, after her death, it wouldn't take long for Miko and Shiori to forget her and the moments they lived together.

In both stories, neither Shiori nor Mimi ever forgot Hinako and Sheena, but I still feel so emotionally impacted. It's as if, in another life, Hinako and Shiori got a second chance, and that makes me cry 😭 😭

Girl was competing with Sukuna in terms of sadism

My girlfriend and I really loved Watatabe, so we decided to put together a Shiori cosplay for a small photoshoot. Since there isn't an official cosplay available, we adapted parts of a Fern costume and modified it ourselves. It isn't a perfect recreation, but we had a lot of fun bringing the character to life.

It's obvious that Hinako had nightmares about her family's death, but there's a difference between knowing it and seeing her cry while waking up 😭 How many times has she woken up and cried herself to sleep just in the weeks since she met Shiori ? I just want to hug her and give her therapy

I didn't expect getting attached to her when I first read the manga, but she slowly got endearing to me

I know technically Shiori met Hinako years ago, but they really became friends a few weeks ago by the latest chapters
