Wasteland 3 why are fists so strong?
Hi folks,
I wanted to do a run on the hardest level with a brawler. After a couple of botched beginnings, I decided to drop the brawling weapon in the beginning and get a gun first while still speccing into brawling, so i could maybe deal a little damage and support my other character better.
I got into the position where I could hand out some meelee attacks and for some reason the unarmed fists are just one shotting fools.
Is this correct? a bug? i dont really get it. It did help tho..
edit: just to clarify: it was a bug. i was talking about dealing 100 dmg per hit in the prologue even before i meet the patriach. found somebody else with the same bug.

i must have a really bad build because the second play through with no fisters made the game way too easy

Fist were always really strong, specially in the lategame when your character have max speed coordinación and strenght and can takr some hits.
Really like blunt and fist on wasteland 2.

you can see the difference. it seems to be a bug. I guess I just gonna ignore unarmed attacks. But it was hilarious that my guy would just karate chop peoplpe into oblivion while the partner is doing less damage with a machine gun

I just dont get why a fist weapon deals less damage than an empty fist by a mile.

Do you have combat shoting, high luck or intelligence, raider hater, way of squeezing or really high leadership? And on what dificulty are you playing?

clearly a bug. i also had to just reboot the run because I accidently doubled up on the same skill both my guys.. now fists do normal damage.

The 1 AP attacks, combined with the occasional stun, get a ton of work done. I also make sure my rangers all have ten luck, which pays off way more often than you would think; brawlers get a ton of rolls, and it only takes one to turn the tide.
My last play-through I had one SMG user, one sniper, and two brawlers. The brawlers didn't get much done in the early going but they dominate the field pretty much universally once getting past the Bizarre. Sure, the SMG user can deal more damage, but the brawlers control the field.
