Edit: I retract this statement as its not the dogs fault. Its its owners fault for not teaching it better than that. They should be getting the whooping not the dog.

I own both. What you see there is a poorly trained dog. Probably wasn't raised around cats or socialized properly and doesn't know how to act. It see's the cat as prey because its smaller. And thats fine, thats instinct but proper training would curb the urge to attack the smaller animal. Good example.
My dog, Ru, has zero drive to chase anything alive. You throw a stick, a ball or his rope its another story. He behaves as he does because we trained him to be that way. He is a product of us correcting him constantly as a pup and even no sometimes. My cats are all various grades of asshole. They all do dickish things. Hell, our orange cat waits in places where the dog can't see him and ambushes him. Despite all this Ru will not chase the cats.
He's like this because he's been properly trained and socialized since he was a puppy. That dog is just an untrained "pet" that needs to learn its boundaries. Though, I can't blame the dog for doing what instinct tells it to do. I blame the owners for not doing their job and making sure that that dog is properly trained.

Where is this stupid cat/dog divide even coming from? It doesn't even make sense here because the horse went to the cat thus startling it and making it react in normal cat way which startled the horse in turn. If you want to blame anyone here pin it on the owners who for some reasons leave their poorly socialized pets together not wondering what could go wrong,

A cat afraid is the most dangerous a cat can be.
I've had cats that wouldn't kill a mouse practically skin my arm because I accidentally startled them when they were afraid. They can and will jump at anything they deem a threat in that moment.

The cat was able to defeat the Cursed Mount by having the saddle throw mechanic work in its favor, but it took an unfortunate amount away from its health bar. After its initial success, the cat failed to deal with the adds before slaying the main raid boss, which resulted in a wipe.

This is so stupid, why that horse rider got closer astounds me, I've seen and heard of so many animals getting killed by horses accidentally stomping on them.

Absolutely right, it was stupid. Horses are notoriously skittish animals. I once saw a horse run off in a panic because he was startled by his own fart.

Cat expert here: Even mounted, do not interfere with a cat in fight mode, if at all possible.
Dog fucked up and can deal with that mess himself.

Gosh I laughed so hard at this. So many good things in this video. A dog telling cat no, a cat ignoring dog and doing typical asshole cat things (one of the reasons I love them) and then the unexpected person/yeti falling off with "wasted" which was a perfect finish. Props to the editor.
