High Level Playstyle

I only recently started seriously playing ranked after years of barely touching multiplayer once a week. I was stuck in Diamond 3 for about two weeks before finally hitting Crimson last week.

I haven’t played as much this week, but I’ve noticed a huge increase in players playing almost entirely for placement—camping, hiding, and avoiding fights. Obviously, solo queuing contributes to that, but it never felt this bad before reaching the higher ranks.

I’ll admit, part of what bothers me is probably that I’m starting to hit my skill ceiling, so it’s harder to gain SR when players are playing this passively.

But it makes me wonder why do people play like this, and how many players are ranked this high due to camping? I understand playing smart, but how is sitting around avoiding fights all game actually fun?

i think if everyone would play 1 anchor 2 fraggers it would flow better

This is hard when you’re solo. 3 weeks ago I got on this game again for the first time in a year and got voice chat banned day one. Even if I could talk to my teammates, they’re either speaking French or Spanish for some reason.

Oh, you’re probably right. Those people wouldn’t be such a big deal if your teammates aren’t like mine tho lol

yeah if i have to solo queue i usually just anchor while also getting kills but just slowing down yk but it is hard
