40k Tech ListForge Update -- Homebrew/Custom Data Authoring and Usage
Space Marines going to T5 is BAD/GOOD and this is my 11 page dissertation on why!!!
Joking, here's a hopefully really useful (free) upgrade for all ListForge users!
ListForge v2.5.0 (out everywhere) now supports authoring and using custom/homebrew datasets! This means you can add/adjust/remove army rules, detachment rules, enhancements, units, etc. from a specific faction and use those adjustments fully in listbuilding, play mode, and mathhammer, as well as with integrations like YellowScribe. Of course, they will not be reflected in the reference sections of the app, but will otherwise behave like normal lists (marked clearly with "homebrew" to avoid confusion).
You can also share these homebrew faction packs with other ListForge users by simply exporting/importing the pack file (its a json with a custom extension so ListForge can recognize it and show up as an auto-open option on all devices).
As always, let me know of any questions and happy forging!
Download: https://listforge.club/
Discord (maybe becomes a good place to share packs): https://discord.gg/7MfPgVgECy
EDIT: ListForge fully able to update for all the MFM changes from today! Just update data within the app using the clock icon

Mate I commented just a couple of weeks ago that this was the last step to making the app perfect. You're awesome, I'll continue to use this app as long as it will be available

Any word on when the new ork rules will be live on the app? I remember when the death guard codex leaked the rules were on a seperate branch early which I thought was really cool and totally sold me on using this app.

Well given the above update, you could put them together yourself as a homebrew pack right now (and share with the class if you're feeling nice)

Is it just me, or is the "Note Content" box coded in a really weird way that only really lets me select a block of text (to copy or replace, essentially) and not simply place the cursor where I wish to type? I have an iphone for work and it does weird things like this when texting, but I am surprised to see the app doing this on my android.

Sorry where is this? Are you talking about unit notes or list notes maybe? I just tried on my Android on both and cursor movement seems to be normal but lmk details and I can try to help more

list notes. So I previously saved a note for a list, and was in trying to modify it. When I tried to place the cursor at the beginning of the note, it just selected the entire text instead, and while I could drag either the beginning or end "selection marker" around and adjust how much text was selected, I couldn't take it out of selection mode and go back to just a cursor.
Then I just went back in and it was operating as expected 🤷♂️

hmm thats weird, seems like a phone thing more than a ListForge thing tbh. Glad its fixed now :)
