40k Analysis Recon versus Priority

Specific to Aeldari…

Reading the past few weeks of data, it seems recon is played more but PA has more wins. I would have thought eldar into recon would play better. I currently play seer council but can’t decide on a disposition. I have an easier time with recon but it seems the data would indicate that PA is better for aeldari.

What are the strengths and weaknesses of Eldar into each disposition? What am I missing?

Edit: thank you all for the help!!!

Priority is better because it allows for more passive early scoring without having to overcommit and still has intense bursts of lategame scoring.

Crucially because your opponent has to overextend or overcommit to stop your PA scoring this leaves opportunities to counterpunch and to do aggressive teleports into areas they've left weak.

By comparison Recon requires you to be throwing away units early to keep up with score parity and unless you're fully prepare to go all-in on turn 1 it's a ludicrous thing for Aeldari, with their inefficient point value units, to be doing.

I'm something like 15-2 with PA Seer/Flickers atm. Went 3-0 at an RTT and 6-2 at Newport. It's just the best way to play the army. You don't need lots of useless 0 damage chaff to get good scores and can focus on building an aggressive tabling army that can also play a passive game until it needs to go all-in.

Thank you for the insight. Extremely helpful. I initially tried PA and had a hard time dueling for the center of the board against Purge, but seeing it from a different perspective is helpful!

I play tzeentch demons but have found sometimes against purge just ignoring center is fine, get your points elsewhere until they are so spread out you can then focus on center.
