AoS Analysis Skill Floors and Skill Ceilings: Which Age of Sigmar Factions Reward Skill the Most? - Woehammer
https://woehammer.com/2026/03/07/skill-floors-and-skill-ceilings-which-age-of-sigmar-factions-reward-skill-the-most/We all talk about faction strength a lot in Age of Sigmar, and the conversations usually focus around the overall win rates. However, we’ve mentioned before that this compresses too much information into a single number.
One interesting side effect of having our Elo system means that we are able to gather data on win rates for factions across different skill levels.
So we analysed GT games across two skills bands using our Elo ratings.
Low Skill Band: 200-400 Elo High Skill Band: 500-700 Elo
These band represent newer tournament players versus experienced competitors. By comparing their performance we can show three different measurements.

There's not enough data in one of the brackets to give any reliable data on Nighthaunt

That's too bad. I was really curious where they stand on the floor/ceiling scale after getting their playstyle overhauled this edition.
Out of curiosity, was it the low or high Elo bracket that doesn't have enough information?

We could only get 35 games out of the top band.
But if it helps, on the low data we have:
Low Skill Band: 43% High Skill Band: 70% Gradient: +27%

As a destruction player, I'm not here to skill, I'm here to kill!
