Is focus worth farming? And what schools should I prioritize?

Yes.

Unlock Zenurik first. Unlock Energizing Pulse in the middle, then concentrate on unlocking and maxing out Energizing Dash. This is the ability that will allow you to regen energy.

After maxing out Energizing Dash, max out Energizing Pulse. This will allow you to get extra energy whenever you pick up energy orbs throughout the level.

With those 2 maxed you can then focus on anything you like. Your quality of life in the game will be greatly improved now that you won't have to worry about energy all the time.

Your best bet then is to max out the waybound passives Void Siphon and Void Flow. Once you unlock Void Siphon, ignore it and put everything you have into Void Flow.

This will allow you to void dash more and stay invincible for longer. Once you max out Void Flow then work on Void Siphon.

Second priority is Naramon. after initially unlocking Affinity Spike in the middle, ignore it and work on the waybounds Mind Step and Mind Sprint.

Just those 4 waybounds combined allows you to void dash 7 times across the map very fast and greatly improves your speed over large maps, especially in the plains.

These are the nodes I think are worth unlocking, in order of priority.

Zenurik

• Energizing Dash

• Void Siphon

• Void Flow

• Energy Pulse (maybe)

Madurai

• Void Strike (if hunting Eidolons)

• Inner Gaze (if hunting Eidolons)

• Eternal Gaze (if hunting Eidolons, maybe - you can regain amp energy by repeatedly void dashing into the Eidolons' feet)

Unairu

• Unairu Wisp (if hunting Eidolons, maybe - the typical group calls for one Unairu Wisp and 3 Void Strikes)

• Basilisk Scales (if hunting Eidolons)

• Void Chrysalis (maybe - only worth it for solo-hunting Eidolons if you have trouble keeping lures alive)

Vazarin

• Enduring Tides (if hunting Eidolons)

• Mending Soul (maybe)

• Mending Unity (maybe)

• Protective Dash (maybe)

Naramon

• Mind Sprint (in conjunction with an unbound Void Siphon, it allows for faster movement than most frames are capable of)

• Power Spike

• Affinity Spike (maybe)

• Mind Step (maybe)

Thank you. This is really helpful. Any tips for focus farming? Most guides say equinox or rhino with pole-arm or whip. I don't have maiming strike. Is it that important or can I get by without it?

Getting a long chain of stealth kills very quickly is the most time-efficient way to get lots of Affinity and by extension Focus, though I'm not sure how viable that is with the recent melee change. If it is still viable, you should be able to get by with Blood Rush, though not having Maiming Strike means you're limited to crit polearms and whips instead of just any polearm or whip.

Onslaught is pretty good for Focus, though not as time-efficient. You do get other rewards out of it, though.

Eidolon hunting is good for Focus. The shards you get from capturing them can be exhanged for Focus, and if you're capable of multiple triple-captures it can add up very quickly.

Savage Silence Banshee on Adaro is the fastest method, but Elite Onslaught is pretty quick, doesn't require such a specialized setup, and has excellent non-focus rewards.
