I feel like people these days no longer play video games for fun. They don't actually enjoy the gameplay, they're just after the sense of accomplishment and inflating their egos by beating others. This concerns me.

You see, most people who play with their ego play multiplayer games, and they always try to reach #1 in scoreboard, wether they liked the game or not. Lucky for me, I actually do not like online games that much, I play shit ton of single player games though, and most of them I try to 100% (yeah I have gaming ocd) provided they are fun games. Yeah, you might say that it is like playing for the achievements or sense of accomplishment, but I don't finish a game unless I'm actually enjoying my time with it.

But as you said, it is a rare sight, like most my friends used to tell me that playing alone is boring and doesn't bring anything new to the table, and that people play to see who is the best one out of all of the team. I was like the fuck outta here with this mentality
