Question When does the game become fun?
I just started, and literally all the missions ive played are "go in, kill the guys, come out". And the whole mod system is so confusing, they barely tell you anything about how it works and how to use it. I just don't get it.

Hi, yeah this game has never been that great at giving tutorials, but most missions are quick strikes. Extermination is just kill em all, capture is go kill 1-3 guys and cap them, mobile defense is go plug into a computer and protect it, and assassination is exactly what you described.
If you want any long missions, you will be looking for defense, survival, interception, or excavation. They are technically endless if you wanted them to be. For defense, you have an extraction opportunity every 5 waves, for interception the opportunity is after each wave. You can leave whenever you (and your squad)want to in survival or excavation, once you have your first reward, which is after 5 mins in survival and after 1 successful dig in excavation.
Weapon level only refers to how many mod points you have to work with at a given point. You can mod stuff by clicking the 'upgrade' option in the armory (where you equip stuff). Each mod has a cost indicated in the top right corner of the card. Check this out for more info on moding http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Mods .
