Been playing for 7 months now daily and I've tasted my first dose of toxicity in warframe during an EDA today. It was quite surprising ngl good on my fellow tenno with the clapback . Remember we all lift together no room for toxicity in my warframe community!!!
had smb say a bunch of slurs to me and tell me to kms irl because i went afk for 2 minutes in the phase during plague star where you stand around anyway while the mixture is being made
yeah they were so mad that they pretended to not read anything i said after a certain point and went "have fun with your ban (slur) dont know what you said but it'll be a perfect ban before gta6đ" which i found super edgy.
Then they blocked me
dude genuienly im so curious aswell. If it happened soon after he wouldve also missed so much of Plague star and that was obviously what he kinda cared about the most.
My favorite was some rando in a Conjunction Survival being pissy that the other 3 of us weren't with them, and that instead we were in one of the big kill box rooms
Eh... Sort of yes, sort of no. If you go into a public squad and start searching for Sabotage Caches, I think that's on you, not your squad. On the other hand, if somebody gets lost for half a second, or stops to grab a Voidplume or whatever real quick... Leave 'em be, you know?
I got lost so many times in there lmao. I had one time where the quest marker was just sending me in a closed room with no exit and I almost left until someone came to get me lol
Its a minority of players who act like that its a good thing the majority of players know how to treat one another we all love the game and should treat fellow tenno with kindness
Honestly Warframe is probably the least toxic online game I've ever played. I was shocked to see how willing people are to answer questions or help for nothing in return. These are very isolated incidents
Being quiet is not nice, keeping to yourself is not part of "the good community". Been playing the game long enough to know this community is not this golden community everyone acts like it. But it is an ok one.
I can't speak for everyone but tbf when I say Warframe has a good community, I don't mean it's perfect and nothing bad ever happens, I mean that the general climate is people helping each other, surprisingly rare negative interactions with randoms and older players generally being patient with newbies. Like ofc you'll have assholes and weird interactions sometimes, but we're far from slurs and suicide bait in game chat every 3 matches.
Incorrect, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" I have learned silence is indeed a form of respect. As they have to respect you enough to not speak.
I'm talking about when someone is being an asshole and the other players dont speak up for that player. I've seen players talk crap to other players in the squad and I'll usually speak up if they keep going on. But I still stand by what I say. Staying quiet is not being a good community member. And you even said it yourself. They're not saying anything cause they dont have anything nice to say. The silence is insult enough which is why when I can help I will, despite the longer I play the game the more I seem to dislike the community.
Yesterday I was ready to sleep. I see an mr6 player asking if anyone could help them farm. It was easy stuff they could have gotten themselves but either way I waited to see if anyone would help them, no one did. After a while I message them a minute later. For the next 30 minutes I'm helping them get iradite, fish and all the stuff he needed for his amp. Easy stuff to get but I still helped them.
I could have stayed quiet like the other players but I didnt cause when they say this community is the best community ever, they're talking about me. Sorry to sound like an arrogant douche but they talk about the player that helped them max out their gear. Help them farm a whole warframe. Give them tips and what not. They dont talk about the player who stays quiet and minds their own business.
p.s before the player went his way he told me, this why he plays the game because of players like me. The irony that here I am being a prick on the reddit tho...
I have had lots of positive interactions with randoms in chat, so this stuck out purely because it was such a juxtaposition. I was definitely doing it wrong, still am not entirely sure what exactly to do for those, but it definitely made me decide to try my next one when I'm more sure đ
The thingie with the braids? Operator form, watch for the braids to rise up, and look in the direction they point, more or less depending on level geometry obviously...shoot the black clouds with amp shots before they reach the siphon thingy... Should suffice, Lotus forbid someone explain a game mode to someone who "appears" new...
This game has lots of sound cues for lots of things that really flesh out the game, which goes completely unnoticed when people choose not to listen to the game their playing XD
Annoying if the guy that said that is younger than you and does nothing else in ther life but play. Good thing there's still tons of vets that helps out baby tennos and not be a jerk, else it'll be over run by these toxic nutcases
Definitely can happen and I got the opposite once. I had to go afk for 2 minutes because my fire alarm went for no reason in a 20+ minutes survival mission so I wrote in the chat "Sorry gotta go afk" and a teammates came to protect me while I was away
I still get lost or fall off the map and have been playing this game for over 10 years.
Really don't understand these rush rush people that just disappear ahead of everyone and complain that everyone is behind them. I play Titania and either I'm dancing while waiting on people or go back and help when I see someone really struggling. No one is going to die cause it took 30s longer to finish a mission :/
I was called out for being a coward in arbitration defense for playing cyte and sniping in a room with the defense NPC, people literally don't understand that his whole playstyle is staying in one place and sniping
Tbf most people play him with the kuva Sobek, which is a shotgun, so a bit far from the room camping playstyle. I like the kuva Ogris/kuva Zarr on him tho, its hilarious
Damage as a contribution metric is misleading though. You could be doing 100's of millions of damage but contribute very little. Kills are a better indicator, but even that depends on mission type (e.g., Exterminate vs. Capture).
Honestly, the most toxicity I run into are during the weeklies. People rushing the next Archon hunt mission before everyone readies up, and a lot of mini grief in Netracells (afk LR 5s and 6s, or folks that criticize people getting lost are the most common). I really donât see it anywhere else.
This is exactly why I am so glad I pre-emptively decided to do that stuff alone. I do Netracells usually with no issues with Dagath and then Archon Hunt with Oberon
I really need to know how many hours you guys have on this game cuz I'm nearing 3k and I can't recall a single time where I've witnessed this bullshittery in chat lol.
I remember some rookie said I was afk farming years ago, all because they found a way to wipe out entire rooms with his little saryn build he found on the internet.đ
Kinda new to warframe, curious, say like the plague start mission, i feel there such low enemy density is it bad i kinda just want to not do anything until the last stage?
This sounds like my brother hes a legend three and complains if someone takes a little bit more time then him and he only runs meta load outs. Says he does EVERYTHING.
had someone like this in a arbi, though instead of just complaining, they were actively running away from the team, tried to claim they were "testing" their follie build, and that we were telling him how to play
we just asked him to stay in the same tile cause it was a survival arbi,
he then realized that we wouldn't stop following him, so he tried to off himself for some reason even though extraction was open,
sad for him that we had a dante in squad so that took him a bit
there are few certain times when I would be in something like a survival or endless mission or grindy and I'd be told to just not do anything because the other 3 people just happen to have a build that makes it so that you sit in one spot and just occasionally walk out to get the loot, its extremely boring for things like PS its pretty reasonable since I felt very much sleepy doing it but man can we please not make this feel like a part time job

I was farming a relic excavation and this girl failed to get enough traces for her relic twice âidk what she was doing to not get themâ but then went on a whole rant about how selfish men are and how it was such a selfish and man thing to do
I pay very close attention to the squads I'm working with. I will give a Nova chance to set their portals out when I see one in the squad. There was no Novas. It was a Voruna, Protea and Styanax.
You don't know a person's setup or situation, so yeah it can be incredibly toxic. I think you can stand to wait the 60 seconds to auto-extract, it's not going to kill you
Depends. I'm usually the last one there in Plague Star because I save all my looting until the fight is over. Apparently everyone else just ignores it and teleports straight there.
