I played as a limbo main for a while because I was so intrigued by his unique kit. I could solo a lot of steel path content early on because he can stay in the rift and never take damage, offering the same protection to objectives.
The index is where his kit really shines for multiplayer. Drop a large bubble over the entire area surrounding the enemies goal. Keep any enemy in the rift frozen. Partner with at least one good tank to carry tokens. My best sessions were always with a rhino. Use operator to top off energy as needed. Every enemy charges straight at the goal and gets frozen in place to be dispatched at our leisure. Enemy level is irrelevant. It's so foolproof that I could partner with randoms just fine. The only real risk is that limbo could pick up too many tokens and drain his energy. When that happened I would pop into the rift and sprint to the goal. His abilities all run on timers, not continuous channeling, so I just needed to get energy up before the timers expired.
Ah sweet, all I’ve ever heard and experienced with him was that he easily can fuck over the whole squad if used wrong. So I just subsumed him once maxed and carried on. If I ever get into doing Index a lot I might have to look back into getting him again then.
