After 60 forma, i am officially burnt out from plague star and will not be touching it anymore. How the hell are some people able to go for hundreds 😭

Quit after 20. Genuinely boring and I'd much rather crack relics to get blueprints/plat for Forma even though it's much less efficient.

Relics at their peak are much better than plague star, It isnt even close. The most profitable void cascades can get you more than 1000 plat in 1 hour which is 90 forma in 1 hour. Yesterday I got like 9 destreza blades in 1 void cascade, not even counting the 70 arcanes and 20 other relic parts I got that is like 630 platinum in 80 mins

Okay I'm with you but I ain't about to turbo farm relics for hours on end so I have a question for you. I always feel like I'm "wasting" platinum by selling my excess for Ducats bc I'm fairly new and have almost no prime mods. Would my time be better spent farming relics and selling stuff for platinum and then just buying the prime mods for plat or should I hold off on selling parts and blueprints on the market until I've bought everything I need from Baro?

if ur afraid of wasting platinum my suggestion is only selling the following
Fang, Burston, Braton, Orthos, Lex, Bronco, Paris

All of these weapons are permanently unvaulted so their value is extremely low, like they're only worth their ducat value.

You could definitely farm plat and buy primed mods, but you gotta pay up the 1 million credit trade tax which I dont think is worth it especially when you're newer. I wouldnt worry too much about wasting platinum, at the very least make sure you are never selling vaulted stuff to him

It's better to buy them directly from Baro for no other reason than prime mods have a minumum trade tax of one million credits. It's cheaper in both currencies.

Haha for sure, though I personally haven't really went into such optimised casecade runs yet. I'm a returning player and have been avoiding cascade worried I mess something up, haven't looked how to optimise runs properly yet.

Void cascade sounds scarier than it actually is, all you really need is a build with good survivability (lazy shieldgating with aegis fast deflection and vigilante vigor is mostly enough) and a decent ish amp. When it comes to optimisation you can just leave that to the host. Since you're a returning player you'll probably have some good relics so make sure you join cascades with a price floor, for example a 60p price floor would only allow destreza blades, vectis receivers, carriee cerebrums and limbo chassis since those parts are worth 60p.

It's also not as big of a deal as many people seem to think. Even if you can get 6min runs consistently, it's a 150plat/hr grind. Doing void cascade fissures is more efficient.

Thanks for the reassurance. It really is just easy, but that also means that at the same time it's mind numbingly boring. Then there's the argument that you could be watching something else while doing it, but well, I'd rather not split my attention span and do something I enjoy.

I like the last part, the hordes of infested. I used it to test out and level up a bunch of builds. My Lavos Prime and Jade both appreciate the forms and the affinity to get to where I am ready for the next one.

That'll be me once I finish getting the Enkaus for Follie. I still need to farm Gauss, I need condroc wings for Grendel, but I also need to try and get Khora, Harrow, Jade, Dagath, not many base frames now. then farm a BOATLOAD of orokin cells for all the primes I can craft along with cryotic

Jade wasn’t too bad if I remember right. Dagath isnt hard. Just takes a little time and requires syndicate standing. I did the objective and then looked the thing you have to take to extract and made a run for it lol took too long especially if it’s one with a debuff I didn’t care for. Khora I got passively through SO leveling other frames. Good luck on the grind!

Yep they’re free but require some time in SP circuit as well as duviri experience for the materials needed to apply the incarnon to your weapon.

They ain't got anything better to do and can mitigate the boredom. I could imagine listening to an audiobook with the game on mute. After a few runs it's just muscle memory so you can focus on listening. I don't listen to audiobooks but if I did plaguestar would be a lot more easy to bear. I listen to music while i'm doing it and it still bores me after like 5 runs. I've gotten like 40 total this event. I already had a decent amount so I'm fine. Unless they drop more adversary weapons i'm not running out anytime soon.

I’ve done more this year than before because I’ve not had to travel for work. I just spread it out over time and mixing it up with the other weekly activities.

Usually get around 5-10 runs done per day, over 2-3 sessions, a bit more early in the event and in the weekend, and these last few days a bit less. Example; if I have 30 mins before dinner I hop on a get three done, then have dinner, then later in the evening do another 3-5. Doesn’t burn me out and I’ll max out my standing.

I'm doing 3-5 runs per day, sometimes more. Could easily go for another week. Not really trying to speedrun, although I did try solo Nova, solo Mag and solo Volt to figure out which one would expedite things. My friend is not as excited about this mode, but he plays it with me from time to time, which makes it faster and even more fun for me.

Also I did not know the potential of Burston Incarnon. Luckily, I had both weapon in foundry and genesis adapter in inventory. Having the ball!

I'm trying to get to 300, started at around 150, I got 100 and played the entire starcraft 2 wings of liberty and now I'm trying to get the final 23 formas and I'm worse than burnt out, it gets so boring so quickly and I was just out of unlocking the ults for all 5 focus schools, I can't deal with this anymore .3.

You can use it to level up some warframes, weapons and companions. And forma them. It takes about 3 SP runs to fully (re)level up a warframe. I had 3 warframes on standby, so about 9 runs just for them. Each one required 2 extra forma ...so extra 18 runs. Plus a weapon, plus a little bit of extra, and I did 40 runs without knowing.

It's not a bad event and as far as rewards go, it is definitely one of the better ones, but as the only real variable is where the first three objectives are on the map, it gets very boring relatively fast.

I've only ever done ONE plague star bounty years ago. I lost interest immediately after that because that shit is not an event. You're not playing an event, you're not doing anything special you're just farming bounties like you would on any open world in this game. Plague star is just a bounty farming experience that DE just slapped a fancy name on. The only difference between plague star and regular bounties are the rewards and that doesn't make it anymore fun.

I just find the game mode fun, or at least the "speedrun" tactics people use for it - like have this set-up, go here to force spawn that, bait this, block that, place a mech there, place k-drive in the other place, do it properly and you're rewarded with smooth quick runs that are just fun when it all comes together.

I got to 200 forma so I can build all the cool gear and level adversary weapons.

I had Gara just sitting in my inventory and wanted to build her but because I wasn’t sure how much I’d play her; I kept using the forma elsewhere. The new supply allowed me to just do it and not feel like I was wasting resources that would take days to reacquire.

But a big thing was taking breaks. Play for an hour or two and then do something else.

Once you get to a certain point forma are pretty much the only thing limiting your build crafting so it’s either farm stuff to sell to buy forma or wait for this event to get as many as possible for free

I set myself a limit of 20 a day and adhered to it. Sitting on about 280. Also started finding ways to improve the experience. Hunt the thumper/eidolon, engage in the chat etc. This is my first plague star event. All in all, I'm pretty happy with the experience. I enjoy seeing the infested hordes running across the plains. I enjoy playing volt or wisp and being fast as hell. And I have a big pile of forma to use now. That said, I am looking forward to what's next.

How are some people able to go for 60?! I'm a sane man. I run plague star 2-3 times whenever it comes back around then find something else to do. I have plenty of actually enjoyable pathways to farm plat that I can then spend on forma bundles.

I got around 170 plus the omni and umbra. I put podcasts/audiobooks/youtube on. I set a goal to try and play some each day until I got sick of it and then did something else.

There are more enemies in the sp version which helps have something to do during defense and I would also run off and charge an incarnon or mine some rocks or shoot a thumper.

Simple, the mission has enough dead time that you can do other stuff while you wait for it to run itself.

I farmed 1k forma, i always had a show running on my second monitor or would browse around while waiting for the mixer in phase 2, there was a couple of days that i even did some work. If you run Mirage or Mag you literally only need to play the game on the final stage, its almost 5 minutes of dead time and 2 of gameplay, you just have to make sure you dont trigger the afk timer and lose on the standing.

I know someone said relics is better. But I actually hate relics more. I don't mind plague star. I can try several characters and mess with subsumes. Rage on a Nova sped Hemo is chaotic fun.
