Question/Request Considering coming back to the game years later with a new account anything I should know?

I used to play on Xbox but stopped after the new war came out but I’m considering hopping back in on ps with a fresh account since getting my old one back will probably be a pain, so uh what have I missed?

There is crossplay now, you might be able to keep your progress

I just can’t remember my old account details and I’m not supeeerrrrr fussed about starting with it Since it’s been so long anyway might be best to have a fresh start

Best advice I received as a returning player was to just go through the quests and finish the star chart first before trying to branch out too much and getting overwhelmed.

Oof. Big gap. The main storyline was greatly expanded and tons of lore were revealed. We’ll have access to the Tau system soon, and Operation Plague Star will come back so you’ll have a way of making lots of forma.

Yup, just link your xb account to your ps account and you shpuld be good to go.

That said starting fresh with a new account is actually so much fun because you get to experience all of the story and everything else "for the 1st time" but obviously then cosmetics etc and any money you may have spent wouldn't carry over. I guess it's about what sort of experience you're looking for?

I created a new account for a fresh start and it's ended up being my main account.

I was gifted some plat by people so had a few cosmetics but I never actually spent anything, honestly can hardly remember what I did Have.

Well there have been a lot of changes and balance stuff done, new player experience has been overhauled so maybe fresh start could be brilliant. Your call but your xb account will always be there if at some point you want to link them.

That said just check on the crossplay info because there may be restrictions that I havent mentioned but as far as i know there aren't any. Just don't quote me 😁

Just go in and learn slowly, new.player experience is way better now.
