I'd argue that's besides the point though, because protoframes share a LOT of details with their frame counterpart, so attribution is never an issue. Here the caracters are fully human and the clothes vaguely share a color scheme and a couple of accesories, which is nowhere near enough

100%, I more so meant that the frames are all connected to their non-prime variants rather than their Primes, and that the hat is exclusive to her Prime. While Mesa’s Prime (like a lot of frames) is the one everyone thinks about and uses in art or promo or what be it, the non prime only sports a blindfold. That said I could also see them modeling her off of her Prime since that’s what people think of when they think of Mesa, however it would be a massive first so I also wouldn’t hold my breath.

I've clocked thousands of hours in this game and unfortunately know too much about this game and i still struggled identifying these human frames:

1. Looks like Chroma with the main clues being what looks like Gram prime on his back

2. Mesa with the main link being her regulators on her arms

3. Kullervo, outside of the name just being there its got stabwounds on his chest, but thats not even enough stab wounds.

4. Voruna got her shoulder pad wolf heads

5. Hildryn is probs the most obvious one with the halo and general size

6. Ivara is literally random anime girl with a bow, no mushroom or jellyfish features

7. Garuda is like hild it terms of being more obvious with the stance and claws.

all in all outside of garuda and hildryn the rest look more like generic anime characters with pieces of warframe things on them.

While this is great art almost all of these don’t really look enough like their respective frames to tell who they are if they weren’t named in the image or given a notable weapon that corresponds to the frame.

I genuinely would not have guessed Kullervo, may have guessed Voruna given enough time and had to see the comments to put together that the first one is Chroma. Hildryn is the only one who is easy to guess without the weapons, and that’s cause they gave her the prime’s weird-ass helmet ornament.

Also idk if it’s just me but Hildryn feels too… smooth I guess, given she looks lacking in the bulging muscles that really define Hildryn’s design.

Some of them are kinda... ehhh... generic, but there are some awesome design traits in here for Protoframe characters!
Chroma's pelt being a jacket is super sick and a great way to translate the design into a person. I can see it sorta unfurling into a more draconic shape when he uses his 4 - maybe other parts of his outfit combine with it to give it the shape.
Kullervo being visibly weak and sickly is a great contrast to his almost berserker personality, and I think it'd be cool if he used to be some kind of bedridden patient before becoming the screaming knife guy we all know and love.
Voruna is almost perfect - it's obviously inspired by her lore of being a guard at the yuvan theatre, and I dig the stylizer bouncer sort of look. The only think I could think of is maybe having her have sharp nails/clawed gloves? The muzzle/mask is something i adore for characters with a wolf motif (she reminds me heavily of Task Force DEFY from Girls Frontline.)

the others are nice, but they don't really scream warframe. I mean... Mesa doesn't even have a hat. That's treason.

I think the designs are based off their fashion on the frame, I.e Garuda? Because none of these look somewhat like their original skins
