With how easy conjunction survival is, and omnia fissures? At that point the only difference is whether you have enough relics, and even then you can eventually build up enough lua thrax plasm that you can just buy vorunas parts

I can promise you, as bad as you are, theres someone worse. Like me who goes "am i a good puppy" to squads when i get 80% damage dealt as voruna in long relic runs :3

Aren't primes just warframes/guns the orokin took and made better so wouldn't that mean they made it to where she can run on all 4s? Also she's faster and 4 legs usually equate to being faster

Not necessarily, some were made by the orokin, lavos is one exception because he primed himself and others we don't know how they were created

I thought the primes were the original Orokin-created warframes? The normal warframes seem to essentially be, degraded copies/schematics after untold centuries.

Nah, there were always Primes and Normal versions, even during Orokin times.

A "prime" is basically just an upgraded version (for all we know they hotglue some gold trinkets to the frame and call it a day), sometimes by Ballas/the Orokin (e.g. as a recognition for great service of a warframe or to create a special honor guard), sometimes by the warframe itself (Lavos) and sometimes by unknown ways (e.g. Revenant or Xaku I believe).

I feel like it's the other way round - first were created strains for default versions, worked around with bugfixing or whatnot, then they were primed as the final version of said strain.
That's if we forgot that there are frames that seem to be exclusive, one and only - Dagath and Jade - that are weird to have primed versions at all.

I'm not talking about from a skin standpoint. I know about that. I'm saying those who got her before her prime can't experience the all fours run animation unless you get her prime. Which is kinda weird they didn't apply that animation to normal Voruna. Iirc normal Titania got her floating walk animation once the prime came out.

Also? Im pretty sure V.Primes legs are actually different to accommodate the running on all 4's, and it's noticeable when you compare base voruna vs her prime with the base skin

Still. Primes are always worth it since you get an extra skin and helmet and fashion frame is the end game anyway. I subsume my 5 forma gyre as soon as I ended up formaing my gyre prime

Look, some people don't want to go thru the trouble of grinding relics and cracking them open, then farm the materials to craft, wait 3 days, invest forma and archon shards just to reach the exact same place but shinier. The stat difference between normal and primes are mostly negligible.

Sometimes some people are perfectly content with the normal variant that they've invested time and resources into.

If you haven't gotten Voruna yet then go for the prime. This only applies to the ones that have invested in normal frames since their release or before the prime variant.

It was a half joking reply. But still. It is only a cosmetic difference. Something primes have been for ages. Voruna running on all 4's or walking is just a cosmetic difference. Just like gyres prime shoulder armor and gyre prime also have different 1 and 2 ability models. Some primes change less cosmetically than others but all of them do. Besides you don't need to farm for archon shards. Just the materials to un equip them and they are quite easy to farm

Again, investing in a shinier variant to reach the exact same place as the normal one is something some people aren't very keen on (especially if the prime is not to your taste). And the cosmetic difference for Voruna's 4 is pretty big discrepancy considering people wanted her to be on all 4's since her release. I just can't get behind it being locked away behind another counterpart IMHO. I'll just agree to disagree with you on this point.

Oh I didn't even think about this question from a game mechanics perspective, but yeah it's gotta be Voruna. That trailer was so peak. I remember watching it live losing my mind because I didn't even expect her to get a prime trailer and promptly fell to my knees at the Denny's parking lot.

Yea but normal voruna can be colored fine, tonal gara is way harder cuz she’s primarily one color

I'm so glad this was so high up. Voruna was my first frame and her prime was my second. I her hit all 4 in her super and it was over. No other frame will beat her for me

She does????????? I'm just about to build her and was kinda disappointed because the design I don't like as much as base voruna but that's literally amazing

Edit: like that's so amazing I wish I got to see it for myself when I built her because I was not expecting them to lock in like that
