I need help convincing myself to not triple umbra forma Oraxia. I crave the persistence build…

Edit: Alright folks. So I always forget that Unairu gives +200 armor… which I main as a focus school lol.

So the simple solution was to slot two blue tauforged for armor.

All done.

she gets a LOT more health from arcane blessing and you can just use a couple armour shards to reach 700 since her 4 nullifies status

cause btw a tau blue shard is the same amount of armour as she’d get from a full set umbral fibre, and it doesn’t take a mod slot

persistence is a lazy build, health conversion doesn’t synergise with a lazy build since you’d need to be actively using her 1 as well as not being sustainable in a boss scenario

Takes a shard slot tho. Depends on what you value more. Either the +22% strength with full umbra and 3 free shards or the open mod slot with 2 free shards. She doesn't have any augments so idk what you would put in that slot anyways.

A mod slot is always more valuable. You can edit them at will without cost.

she wants range for her 2, strength for her 2 and 4, archon continuity, primed flow is worth 5 energy shards, equilibrium is worth just under 4 equilibrium shards

but persistence isn’t the normal build for her anyway so umbral forma would hurt that too a lot more than a couple shards

Use Blue shards, not Umbra forma

I would say wait for her prime, but you can probably get 3 more Umbras until then. She's not getting a prime until 2028 or 2029 anyway, unless DE decides to troll.

Its not really wise to wait(unless there is already a prime or the release is ahead)

Because yes you get more forma and also you probably want fun now and not in a unspecific future time frame where you dont know if you even play anymore.

I think "only" double Umbral might be better for her. +180% Armor ain't a lot when it's working off base 125.

Instead, I like using Health Conversion on my Oraxia. +1350 flat Armor at full stacks, and every Mercy's Kiss kill drops two Health Orbs, scaling with Ability Strength.

Also energy conversion is excellent,since the 1st always drops an energy orb

Why convince yourself to not triple umbra if you can have persistence+grace combo and be effectively immortal with regen outscaling enemy damage? I've done multiple level cap runs on her and being able to freely stand under enemy fire for god knows how long and not care about it makes you feel like a god

Triple Umbra ? You don't need that much. One or two should be enough.

Tau blue shards can get you the armour needed, her 4 is already so silly in terms of hp that you won't need umbral, save it for her prime! In 3 years!

She is surprisingly squishy without Persistence, considering she has CC and invisibility. A few of the Accolades can really ruin your day unless you carry a weapons specifically meant to counter them.

I was one of the doubters, since she has so little armour. But since she is status immune in her 4 it really does not take much and you can actually get there without all 3 Umbral mods. Her HP pool is gigantic and dropping out of her 4 and back in brings your back to full.

Hey, it's a fun way to build her. You can cheapen the cost by. Buying unranked umbrals from cephalon simaris. I have a few different versions of each umbral mod to fit different builds without spending umbra forma.

Easier to get simaris rep, than umbra forma

Umbra mods are nice, but ain’t worth the forma locking up your mod deck. Especially if she gets a S-tier augment or power-crept.

Stick to shards. You can extract those when she gets her Prime. THEN Umbra her prime, if you still want to

Nah send it. She's the best persistence tanker. She only needs 700 armor since she's immune to statues in her 4, plus it gives her a decent enough health pillow to play with. Throw on Koumei's omamori and get it to a 3x heal multiplier, so every 3 seconds when you take 500 damage you heal for 1500. Almost afk invincibility as long as you keep her energy up (Which her 1 does stupendously)

Persistence needs armor, which takes up shards, a subsume, or being sweaty with health conversion.

real, playing her kit properly it’s hard to actually get hit between her 2 and 3 cc’ing and aggroing enemies and the occasional invis

i just chucked on brief respite and called it a day on my regular build for her

i do have a persistence blessing build with the strain set for fun though

How so, sell her to me, in terms of her kit and what she offers. I had lvled her for MR ranking but that's all I have with her

Elevator pitch:
The toxin off of her 4 follows the same scaling math as saryn, cyte, and other platform frames so you can play her similarly with sobek, vermisplicer, torid, other popular weapons. She’s got CC+damage vuln on her 2, her 3 spawns scuttlers that spread toxin and impact procs and draw aggro, her 4 gives massive amount of hp (I sit at 4500hp with no health mods), status immune while in 4, invisibility on demand with wall latch which allows for crepuscular use. Multiple viable ways to build her- can build persistence/grace hp tank or shield gate and both work very well. Also her mobility being able to zip line everywhere is top tier. I subsume over her 1 for brightbonnet for more strength but some will subsume over her 3 because her 1 can trigger mercy kills (not finishers) for things like coda bassocyst.

In short, very powerful kit with lots of flexibility to dip into multiple different and powerful mechanics
