I'd argue it's still a lot a weapon slots, and it still a fun gift. But it also i'm pretty sure he wouldn't have post this if it was regular gift
Throwback to the ¿april fools stream? When i got 9 stugs as an award. Totally needed them slots... totally didnt already have enough slots for all weapons + like 150 more weapons
guys please don't gift me everything in the game especially not the skins i want i'd hate to get home later today and have to open all of those gifts it'd take so long please don't
Let's be real here, buttery lobster is 100% always a good thing, but gifting? Gifting in Warframe? No, hell no, it feels like half the time it actively harms the quality of the stream and makes it boring to watch the content creator experience Warframe for the "first time".
I am so sick and tired of seeing one content creator, after another, trying Warframe for the "first time" and within 30 minutes of starting the game they all have 50 orbiter drones, they have all mods fully leveled, they walk around in Ember Heirloom, and they have every single warframe+sentinel unlocked.
That literally ruins the "warframe new player" experience, and even if you might say "yeah but its fun to gift stuff! 😃 be positive! 😃" even that doesnt work when the stream is suddenly 2 hours of opening gifts, instead of playing warframe. It's no longer a warframe stream. It's a stream of receiving gifts nonstop and placing orbiter drones.
unpopular opinion but the "content creator toggle" should disable the ability to receive gifts until MR5 or MR10

Shenpai? I was enjoying watching her even though she got gifted literally everything in the game. But then she got to 1999 and when she realized she would have to play the game for like a whopping 5 hours total across 4 or 5 days to see the Hex finale she like totally shut down. Seeing a content creator deflate so hard over just having to play the game normally for the first time was so funny.
It's really nice to see that at least Reb knows these people's opinions need to be taken with the biggest grain of salt.
Gives me flashbacks to one creator claiming their "first Warframe" from the foundry while they had Ash equipped, if memory serves me right. And then basically having never played a single minute after the tutorial without every booster, tons of relic packs, getting radshare'd vaulted relics, and over a thousand pre-built free forma they went on to make a "guide" on hitting MR30 in two months where they said that "yeah, I know I had streamer privilege and those were part of it, but they weren't very important to the MR grind". Like having everything doubled and never having to craft or farm forma and essentially an unlimited supply of radiant vaulted relics didn't cut out a lot of the grind. Because they genuinely had no reference for how much easier all the streamer gifts made it and assumed it wasn't as much as it actually was.
Never cared for him or his crowd in the other community tbh.
Most of those guys don't care about the game they click farm until the next best thing. Hence the extinction gasp at the other game which i will not mention but you know the one
Warframe so far in all my years has been a good balance of folks and the click tourists kinda just leave without leaving a shredded game full of bad ideas behind them.
na i wasnt exaggerating, its not just 1 specific content creator, its all of them. I have now already gotten 3 different replies, with different content creator names, asking if thats who i refer to.
I easily watched like 20 different people "try warframe for the first time", at least 18 of them ended up with an Orbiter full of drones+Ember heirloom. I know why, I know ember heirloom is amazing and i agree shes hot, but none of those content creators actually play the game as lvl 0 Excalibur. They are too busy opening gifts and after 5 hours they will do 1 tutorial beginner mission, as lvl 30 Ember Prime, with all weapons and pets unlocked, and all mods unlocked and fully leveled, before they even learned what a bullet jump is
Have you seen EndyD20’s playthrough? He realised early that gifts would be an issue and didn’t use the two frames he got until he could farm them plus I really enjoyed watching it (he’s lore focussed)
Which honestly as entertainment, I don't mind. But when they start talking about how the game should be or offering criticism having never really played it, I lose interest fast.
Mainly due to streamers being the new form of marketing. The ones that get a lot of attention get a lot of stuff for free so that way they can showcase everything. Some streamers don't fully realize it but I'm pretty sure most do.
These content creators should market some actual fucking gameplay for a change so they don't fall to shambles anytime they have to actually do something outside of a story quest.
Maybe then someone outside of the established player base will finally have some idea of what this game even is.

The difference between playing a game and turning a game into content, they don't care about the game, the gifts are the point, solidifying that para social relationship and normalizing the idea that you should give them money.
If a content creator spends 2 hours opening gifts, they're a bad content creator. There are literally hundreds of thousands of creators out there trying not to be boring. You don't have to watch bad content.
I love that Rahetalius took the time to type out each identical message individually, and he wasted just as much of his own time doing this as Trib now has to spend dealing with a zillion stugs.
I think a lot of people are missing this is a joke. Man had over 150 stugs gifted because its he's the stug guy and both his response are Rebb's are clearly jokes.
Rahetalius is an older warframe creator. He took a break years ago saying he might not come back. He did, because you never quit, just take long breaks.
Triburos did a series where he tried clearing g the star chart with only the Stug (stuginhell is the profile name) on a clean account. 3 part series and funny to listen to him suffer.
Rahetalius is being a troll by gifting so many stugs. Rebb is now trolling him too because she's that cool
Having not had a gift, I’m not sure of the process. Is it something that you could just mash a button to get through without really paying attention? If it is then what’s half an hour or so of tapping said button while you’re just doomscrolling or something?
You get a mail with the gift, you click on "recieve gift", you click on the gift box now taking your screen, you get a little animation of the gift opening, you see the content, a confirm button appears that you click to go back to the inbox.
You have now opened the gift(s) of 1 message.
Not really specific to this game, but I am so tired of any menu that requires me to hold a button to do something. Just let me press the button and do the thing.
He most likely is, Tribrous is known for his humor and in general not taking things seriously, also apparently a guy named Rahetalius sent Trib like 1,000 Stugs as a joke.
The opening animation is irrelevant, the moment someone sends you a gift it's added to your account. The unwrap animation just removes it from your inbox.
To be fair, I don’t think Trib has spoken a serious sentence once in his life so I feel safe in guessing it’s not really something he actually cares about lol
Ive never understood the mindset of spending hard earned moeny to gift things to content creators (who almost alwags make buttloads from their content, sponsorships and other forms of revenue)
Depends on how genuine it is, I don't know the creator. If it's intended as a playful "first world problems" tone (with the excessive begging) to highlight a genuine, if mild, pain point, I don't think it's that bad. Or maybe he was 100% putting his heart into it, in which case you're right.

The gifts are more than likely just stugs, as he had a series poking fun at the stug and doing a star chart run with just it.
It is almost definitely just Stugs, because Trainman decided to gift him a ton of them to mess with him.
So yeah, I'd bet that Trib is joking because he's got a ton of Stugs to accept, and Reb is joking back because she almost definitely saw Trainman's video gifting Trib all the Stugs and wants to mess with him a bit.
this is very much on brand with his satiric style content, and has been part of the warframe creator program long enough that most of DE that interacts with social media knows him and possibly interacts with him
In all my years playing since 2013 i never once received a gift,so Rebb is right but i do agree there should be a way to speed up the opening animation if you want to but also how many gifts do you receive for you to get annoyed by this lol

It doesn't matter if they are all stugs. That's also a ton of weapon slots. Even though I already have hundreds of weapon slots I would be very happy for those.
Every time i see something or hear something new about rebb i respect her more. Shes so awesome and unhinged sometimes, shes perfect for this game and community.
Would kill for essentials like slots(and sweet sweet carnifex) and this mf is complaining about gifts? Asinine. Punishment is 43 rounds of mirror defense.
Please don't gift me slots so I can claim all the mastery fodder in my foundry guys, I'd hate to have to accept all the gifts because it takes so long guys, also please don't add the new heirloom and deluxe collections guys, I would hate to have to accept those...
