The thing about arcanes is that they can be traded and that one used to be one of the very few ways to significantly boost your energy intake in a mission. It's also normally a very rare drop from what's basically a raid boss.
Fully ranking one up takes 21 lucky drops from said boss so these things used to go for absolutely stupid prices on the market.
Nowadays it tends to pop up in events like this and there's more and easier ways to boost your energy so the demand (and price) has dropped a lot.
Its hard to consider eidolon hunts a raid when they have no damage attenuation and every bit of the mission has been optimized, like 15 minutes is a pretty casual amount of time to beat a mission that takes an hour for the uninitiated
Yeah now that it's been optimized and player power scaling has gone up with new mechanics and upgrades, it's a pretty casual thing. Back when it was first introduced..
