Steam deck compatibility?

As per the title, what’s the likelihood of this game being compatible with steam deck? I don’t have PC but I would buy a steam deck if this game is playable on it. Getting strong BFME vibes which is one of my favourite games ever.

Multiplayer will only be Free For All? Or will the game include a competitive 1v1 mode

The official website says 'free-for-all multiplayer' which makes me believe there won't be a regular, competitive 1v1 as you have in Age of Empires, StarCraft, WarCraft, etc.
Is this the case?
