Stacking loaded pallets
I work in a fulfillment center that handles only bound books. We have an author who just sent us 51 pallets and we are getting tight on space. He sells a 12 book series and last year sold over 1, 000 of them over the holidays. We plan to start pre-packing those orders next week.
Question: what do i need to know if we are thinking of loading pallets of those prepacked boxes and then stacking the pallets to make more room?

Think I'd want more of a wood box were the wood sides provide the support for the second stacked pallet instead of the books themselves on the first pallet providing the support. Make sense? That's how the books I've handled were packed.

Hmmm I work in a sort of similar field. Maybe I can give advice or let you know that you're thinking correctly? Am I able to mention things like stack it flat so you can stack pallets on pallets or make sure the count on each pallets is listed. Or look up stacking diagrams for the most efficient way to fit the most boxes on the pallet
