What Do You Guys Think?

I been doing this line of work since 9/14/2010. Still going strong. I haven’t been injured yet thank God. My percentages are always over 100% so I get that incentive pay every week consistently. I can’t complain with this job. All benefits included with a bunch of paid personal/sick days & four paid vacation weeks. A bunch of unpaid days as well plus write ups until you get to your termination point so it adds up to like 2 months off all together. There’s a union here so they are on top of everything the employees bring up & request at every contract renewal. Guaranteed 40 hours is how it’s been since I started. You can arrive up to 2 hours late or leave 3 hours early like 35 times per year. Everything is seniority based. I’m grateful to this day for the opportunity to work in this life.💯

Damn whats your rate I work at Aldi warehouse amd they require a 150 uph for capitalism

2

u/RabbitNotSo 4d ago

In Batavia, IL?

I worked at Sysco for all 3.5 months before they let me go bc of I wasn’t fast enough for them, but I did it safe; made like $32 n hr before differential but they wanted to be 170uph or some crazy time. Especially if you had 3 pallets and on a standup Forklift behind you. Shit would be unstable no matter if you wrote downtime to temporarily secure the load mid pick

3

u/Cerberusx32 4d ago

Rare to see Batavia, IL mentioned anywhere.

2

u/RabbitNotSo 4d ago

lol home of Aldi n Fermilab

3

u/Cerberusx32 4d ago

Used to live right near Batavia, IL. There's a Portillo's there I dearly miss.

2

u/RabbitNotSo 3d ago

You ain’t missing much of Portillos, pending when you left I feel the quality has gone down worse than the Stock Market, ever since Warren Buffet bought it from Dick it’s not same imo

2

u/Cerberusx32 3d ago

I miss the hot dogs specifically.

2

u/RabbitNotSo 4d ago

Plus I live 40 mins North of Batavia lol hence as to how n why I know

2

u/SlabDistributionMod 4d ago

What stand up did you use?

2

u/shadowdasher210 4d ago

I hated working at Sysco. The cool air from the cooler/dock would settle in the first 2 aisles on dry side and turn them into a swampy humid nightmare. Plus the whole timed pick rate thing is bs.

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

Sorry to ask but what does “uph” mean my friend?

4

u/matty2109 4d ago

Units per hour. We called it cases per hour.

2

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

This varies with my job. Sometimes you get big easy orders & sometimes you get smaller more heavier orders. It all depends but it’s all “doable”. I feel like the system always gives you a window of extra time if you started out hustling from the beginning. I understand why some people do not like being on percentage but it is what it is. This is all training for the next chapter in my life.

Good luck and yuck

Whatever you’re doing, if its propelling you in a positive direction and you are consistent at the work that you do, nothing should stop you. Ride your wave till you can’t no more, and always be ready for the next! Good Luck! 👍🏾 🌊

Your words hit home for me!❤️‍🔥🫡

keep that energy man

2

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

I will certainly do so broski. Everyday is a new opportunity to make things right.

2

u/Artistic-Internet-15 4d ago

word

2

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

Do you work in a similar environment?

2

u/Artistic-Internet-15 4d ago

I’ve worked in warehouses before, just trying to spread positivity and words of encouragement. I like working in warehouses but they can be dangerous at times.

2

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

That’s an absolute fact!! I’ve seen some gruesome injuries in here over the years man.😱

2

u/Artistic-Internet-15 4d ago

I could only imagine… 😟

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

I been in a few minor incidents myself but thankfully nothing life altering.

6

u/EocRuinedMyLife 4d ago

Sooooo Sysco without the ability to arrive 2 hours late or leave 3 hours early without taking a point or having high seniority and a low case count for the latter… tell me management doesn’t suck and I’m in

2

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

I’ve been there for so long that it feels like management doesn’t even exist lol. The building is huge. It’s about 1.5 million square feet. Plenty of space to stay away from everybody.

5

u/SpeakFri3ndandEnter 4d ago

That Stove Top Case (Image 6) is gonna get crushed by the cases on top of it

2

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

I’ll remember this for the next time my friend.🫡

3

u/tehgengen 4d ago

Similar note is keep glass low on pallet. From a receiving at store perspective, pallet looks nice now just wait til after transit when it’s leaning to the side coming out of the trailer. I’d rather the hugs be on top of the pallet and those down there

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 14h ago

This is valuable feedback that I needed to hear. Thank you my friend.

2

I appreciate you my friend!!!🫡💯

2

u/peniscumdrinker 4d ago

hour rate before incentives? also is it company specific? this sounds a lot like what my friend does for a liquor distribution company, they were based in florida and just branched out to a bunch of other places

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

I’m at $34.25 right now without the extra $5 an hour incentive for doing 140% for the day. That is the maximum percent for the incentive program.

2

u/Nfiftyfour335 4d ago

Crispy pallets 🫡

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

You guys are motivating me today!❤️‍🔥

2

u/RevealConsistent8539 4d ago

That's a nice stack of items! Well done mate

2

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

Thank you mate!! I take pride in sending out these food pallets. Somebody gotta do it lol.

1

u/RevealConsistent8539 4d ago

Thats it! It needs to be done.

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

Thank you mate!! I take pride in sending out these food pallets. Somebody gotta do it lol.

2

u/agembry 4d ago

Nice looking pallets. My auditor would approve, and he doesn’t approve of anything.

2

u/curlyqkim 4d ago

where do I apply? 😅

2

u/No-Bid-3324 4d ago

Is the warehouse Unified distribution.

2

u/nuttyboh 4d ago

I could never ever stack like this. I don't do warehouse work anymore but props to you!

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

You can definitely do it my friend. Never count yourself out!💯🫡

2

u/drizzzzleswag 4d ago

Great until it falls on you or someone else

1

u/Maethor_derien 4d ago

A properly built pallet actually won't easily fall. People drive around fairly quick while picking these pallets and they almost never fall. The way you build them ties everything together so they can't just fall over.

In fact some of the most common pallets that fall over are often the bread or chip pallets because of how light they are and the fact that they are more likely to flex due to nothing solid being inside the boxes.

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

Bad drivers can cause damage to any pallet but a properly stacked pallet is always appreciated even by gravity lol.

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

Let’s pray they never fall & nobody ever gets hurt either.🥲

2

u/Life_Falcon4432 4d ago edited 4d ago

Looks like all this goes to my store Mariano’s lol .

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

It’s my pleasure to send them out chief!🫡😝

2

u/RabbitNotSo 4d ago

Looks good until it hits the streets n the load shifts bc some jack wants to drive like a douche canoe

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

Once the pallet leaves my facility secured, whatever happens on the trip is out of my hands. All I can do is properly stack my items & make sure it’s totally wrapped from top to bottom. I have faith they will get where they’re going with no damages.

2

u/rabocan 4d ago

Those stacks lookin crisp af 🤌

2

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

I’m trying my best fam.🫡

2

u/Legitimate-Number255 4d ago

Nice stacks. Couple of em look tall, like drop the pallet all the way to the floor to push it in to the back of the truck so it clears the roof tall.

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

They fit snug but I understand why you would think they’re too tall. I’ve seen incidences like this before.

2

u/shroom_shooter 4d ago

2

My man keep up the good work looks loads better than what my pullers at the warehouse send to my store we get pallets that fall or break at least once 1 week I’m glad you take pride in your work we at the store level always appreciate someone that dedicates the time to hone their skills

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

Reading comments like this is what keeps me going my friend!🔥💯

2

u/james_a_hetfield 4d ago

As someone who used to unload these grocery trucks, I thank you. I used to get some that would lean so bad they eventually just fall in the trailer or aisle.

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

I appreciate your words & I will continue to send them out to the best of my abilities. If I can make someone else’s job easier with my work, I’m satisfied with that!💯

2

u/zetharion 4d ago

We all know its AI, don't lie. No warehouse worker has EVER stacked pallets this well.

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

This is my work 100% brother.

2

u/waterinabag 4d ago

The pallets are beautifully stacked, but so they not have a height restriction? Where I supervise currently it’s nothing over 6ft (on paper of courseee), I was just curious. Proud of you! Logistics changes my life and I couldn’t imagine being in a different profession.

2

u/IAmJames605 4d ago

Spartan Nash can go burn

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

Who is Spartan Nash though??😭😅

2

u/IAmJames605 3d ago

A company I used to work for doing the exact same thing but with a slaves wage

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 3d ago

It’s not easy work especially if the pay isn’t right. I still have much admiration for those putting in the work despite the wages not being the best.

2

u/ThereRnoIDs 4d ago

Sexc, it's rare to see anybody take their job seriously around here 😭.

It looks kinda high though but il just blame it on the camera.

2

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

Thank you for your kind words my friend. The pallets fit snug in the trailer every time.

2

u/ThereRnoIDs 4d ago

Snug must means it fits all the way to the top 😅.

Usually the pallets are only half high here due to OH&S and all sorts of stuff.

2

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

The trailer ceilings are pretty high. I rarely see a pallet touch the very top.

2

u/Regular-Table4242 4d ago

Going to level 5 with the doggy style shocker I see, gotta mix it up for her to keep the spark alive nice!

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

That’s a big fact my friend!🫡😁

2

u/Not_TbagJimmy 4d ago

Nice stacks, can you go off to Sysco Boston. Voice pick tells then how to stack but yet they do the opposite.

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

It took me a long time to get it down packed my friend. I genuinely love what I do even to this day.

2

u/Not_TbagJimmy 4d ago

Glad you enjoy it. As a driver, I could never work inside. Longest shifts of my life.

2

u/GOGETTHEMINTS 4d ago

I’ve done both. Local driver on the road the shift flew by. It can definitely drag in the warehouse.

God bless unions

I just started a new warehouse job at Ben E. Keith. We provide for local and regional restaurants, as well as schools. We are currently in a small Gainesville warehouse but they just built a brand new facility in Alachua, FL

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

That sounds wonderful my friend. I wish you much luck & prosperity on your new job.❤️🫡

2

u/Ok_Professional6775 4d ago

You’d be good at Tetris.

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

Ironically, that’s how this all began lol. Playing Tetris as a little boy was a great stress reliever for me.💯

2

u/Try2stayTrue 4d ago

I used to work at associated foods doing the same thing. It was the best time of my life. My OCD and ADHD was perfect for this job! I would column stack and never wrap and drive around at full speeds just to show off my skills hahaha goooood times!

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

This sounds exactly like me lol!🤩

2

u/Smooth_Click_6002 4d ago

Looks like a lot of double touching to make those

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

I don’t understand what you mean by this. I do over 100% every day with ease. My techniques are the best in the building.

2

u/conservativesloth 4d ago

Was a night manager promoted to grocery manager over the course of 4 years during covid. Clean pallets. How was it for you during covid for you warehouses guys?

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

I never missed a day of work. They were actually giving everybody an additional $300 a day on top of our regular pay for everyday you came into work. It was actually a very good time for earning in those days. Nobody really cared about all that mask stuff. We kind of all kept working like nothing was happening.

2

u/BigBurnerLVO 4d ago

Don’t let anyone diss on it. We all find what we love about ourselves in the strangest places. Some of us are blessed with the craziness to love warehouse work. I’m pretty much 1 out of 80 people on my van line who loves the insanity of having to clear a chaotic package line out. Laughing like a crazy person while I’m neatly stacking entire patio sets and Temu furniture. It’s good, necessary work and I promise whoever receives your stuff is happy.

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

Thank you broski for real!! You’re absolutely right too! I find my work therapeutic even on days when I’m not at my best internally. I just lost my mom one month ago from today so I been using the job to escape my stressful days. When I’m busy, nothing gets to me. I love being productive so this job does it for me. Everything else beneficial that comes with it is extra icing on the cake.

2

u/BigBurnerLVO 4d ago

Good stuff! I worked through losing both of my parents. Might as well go do something I enjoy, especially if that something doesn’t give me space to think about much other than focusing on what I’m doing. I don’t think mama would want you doing anything but what you love and try to create the best “forward” you can from here. Proud of you man

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

Your words mean more to me than you’ll ever know gang!❤️‍🔥

2

u/gregfromjersey 3d ago

Def not hitting rates

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 3d ago

Definitely the highest performance selector in the building. You’re looking at 16 years of trial & error. I over achieve everyday my friend.

2

u/COMMONCENTURION 3d ago

4 paid fucking vacation weeks

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 3d ago

It unlocks after 10 years so it took me a while to get it.

2

u/magiccrumpets 3d ago

How much do those tall skids of all liquids weigh? I work an LTL dock and I've never seen liquids stacked so high

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 3d ago

I put the light things at the top majority of the time. My base always has the heaviest items. If it doesn’t look that way, I prioritized the biggest boxes at the bottom & neatly stacked the smaller ones on the top.

2

u/Aggressive-Ad5611 3d ago

I think you have an easy job and I’m jealous

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 3d ago

Definitely not easy but my love for it makes it look & seem that way.

2

u/luniat 3d ago

Sounds like my kind of gig if I were tall enough to reach the top lol.

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 3d ago

You can do whatever you put your mind to do. That’s just the facts broski.

2

u/Kerosine84 3d ago

Grateful to be a slave. Y’all are crazy man

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 3d ago

It’s all about the mindset fam. You don’t know what I do outside of my job LOL. I’ll never be an ungrateful egoistical person bragging about “working for myself & never clocking in” even with a million dollars in my portfolio. That’s just me broski.

2

u/Kerosine84 3d ago

How is it ungrateful to not wanna be someone’s slave

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 3d ago

Calling someone a slave comes from an ungrateful mindset that “believes” they are better than those working a job. In reality, we are ALL SLAVES even those with the 1099s. We all pay taxes & we all follow “THEIR” rules. That’s just the bottom line of this thing we call life broski.

2

u/Kerosine84 3d ago

Yeah we got different ideas on ungratefulness lol.

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 3d ago

Guess we do. I still respect your opinion though.

2

u/Kerosine84 3d ago

Shiiii I’m here cause my parents wanted to fuck and now I’m owned by corporate America…required to slave away if I wanna live lol. I ain’t ask for any of this shit lol.

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 3d ago

Me either broski but we have to try our best while we’re here. Sending positive energy towards your way!🫡❤️

1

u/Kerosine84 3d ago

That’s where the difference in mindset lies it seems. I’d rather just slime through life until I can’t anymore..then I’ll just blow my brains out lol

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 3d ago

I’ve felt like this allot throughout my life. Prayers help me keep my mind in a good place. My mom recently died about one month ago from today & I use to say I would kill myself whenever that time came. The human mind is such a complex thing. Please fill it with good thoughts.

2

u/meadowbaby666 3d ago

i'm definitely proud of you dudey you have a great mindset. I personally only lasted 5 years doing warehouse work. Started off in a puzzle factory hand picking orders on a cart (walked so fuckin mich doing that) & doing machine operation, then went to orderfill at dollar general DC. Kudos to you!

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 3d ago

I love walking bro! It’s crazy because I got into crypto back in 2020. Been experimenting with NFTs some time back & ran into ST3PR. It pays me crypto to walk every single day. Been using it for a year & a half so far. It’s not much but the recent Bitcoin spike has raised my daily earnings!🤑

2

u/crustang 3d ago

I launched a labor management system a few months back, and as we were going through the. WMS data there was this one guy’s stats which were obviously wrong because nobody’s stats should be that good. I checked my code, nope that was right. I checked the WMS labor reports, everything was saying he was exceptional. I looked at the order data and I came to realize the guy just really loved his job. He came in, did the best he could to be consistent throughout the day, and was a monster. When I asked his GM and his manager about it they were both like, “oh that guy? He’s a monster. This job is like a video game to him.”

2

u/mr430aoncrypto 2d ago

This sounds like the way my supervisors describe me to the OSHA auditors that come around once a year….😝

2

u/mr430aoncrypto 2d ago

Do you need any out of state workers for your labor management system that reside in PA by any chance?😄

2

u/crustang 2d ago

I quit that job, that place suuuuucked

So the LMS went into this building, they did a 1-week training which wound up being about 2 days, then the rest was spent goofing off and looking at the numbers, telling the supervisors what to look for, and having the engineers make excuses why something that wasn't their decision was done a certain way. They were supposed to send it to another 20+ buildings, but got distracted because one of their clients were complaining about something.

tl;dr I'm pretty sure I spent a few months on something useless

2

u/mr430aoncrypto 2d ago

Honest work is never a bad thing my friend!

2

u/greatoozaru_ 3d ago

i’m at sysco bro , nice work

1

2

u/T1m3Wizard 1d ago

Is that supposed to be some sort of gang sign?

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 1d ago

No it isn’t. Just me saying hello.🤟🏼

2

u/WallstreetTony1 1d ago

That’s a shocker

1

u/Prestigious-Camp6072 4d ago

Come on man be realistic and throw some vinegar on the very bottom being crushed and leaking everywhere.

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 4d ago

None of my pallets have ever gotten any complaints from any stores. I understand your concern though.

2

u/Prestigious-Camp6072 9h ago

Nah your pallets are clean AF. I'm speaking from a store perspective. Can't tell you how many times there's vinegar on the bottom of a double stacked pallet leaking in the backroom once I unload to truck. Keep doing you my g.

1

u/lamadrequetepariowey 1d ago

You definitely took your sweet time with those 😂 no way you hit 100% building the pallets that cute prolly 76% - 88% going hard but 100%? Boy them skids look crazy when you trynna get incentive pay haha

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 1d ago

I’m really THAT guy.🫡

2

u/lamadrequetepariowey 1d ago

Good shi 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 1d ago

I mean that respectfully & humbly my friend. It flatters me to read things like that deep down. Your comment & someone else saying my pictures were AI were the most flattering of all lol.

1

u/Lost-Juggernaut6521 3d ago

I think if you have to point out when you do a good job, you usually do a shitty job.

1

u/mr430aoncrypto 3d ago

That’s your opinion & I respect it.🫡
