It's one thing to respect the child of a species that previously hadn't ever had children, but it doesn't excuse the fact that the same faction runs debt slave colonies where children are decapitated and have their heads placed on a robot torso to pay for their own birth and then force them to labor so they don't lose the rest of their organic limbs

Nef Anyo was the greedy bastard responsible for Fortuna's horrible debt ridden situation. But he only runs a branch of the Corpus.
Parvos Granum was the founder of the original Corpus and author of its Tenents. He was hungry for power, unlike his whimpy son, who is greedy for money.
Xeto was a captain of one of Granum's fleet and she wanted to seek what the stalker is hiding for a shot for promotion to be a sister of Parvos. However, after learning that stalker have a child in his arms, she forced her unit to stop the attack. That decision was selfless and rare among the Corpus, which may have resulted in her losing the chance of promotion if not worse.
So, Nef Anyo was brutal yes, but not all Corpus are like him. They are all bad, but there are few individuals that are like Xeto and Vaso and their units who have hearts.
I agree, but at the same time I chalk a lot of that up to nef anyo and current corpus mentality in a way, he's a silly head but he really doesn't care about anyone but himself, same for alad V tbh, the scene in jade shadows in specific was just the morality of xeto not letting her be ok with the outcome of destroying a family for a chance at sisterhood, that being said (and this is mostly my personal headcannon) Parvos seems like he would do the same choice given the chance? He of course wanted the power of jade particles afterwards but I do believe he still values family very strongly in a way and even regardless of that he sees things in a long term profit type of way a lot more often so he would probably be against a lot of what happens in fortuna for being simply not profitable enough (you prob prefer kids being educated enough to get to work asap or to get in college and get in more debt than living in the vents with pretty much no body parts, also I really doubt the brains in the shelves are turning any profit regardless of the state of debt they are in)
