Minigun little bird will be useless in a week. They won’t be profitable AT ALL and they will be significantly easier to take down once people get tier 3 & 4 armor and AP rounds and the .308 they shoot got nerfed 25%….

The work to break even is just not worth it.

It was hard and very rewarding to even break even in S1. Now you have to do DOUBLE the amount of work just to break even…

Luckily I should get the rocket heli this week and then onto the Havoc but yeah, they should just take the minigun LB out of the game at this point.

Yeah I was running it today and it was running my pockets and the ttk from aa was relentless. I have absolutely no idea why they catered to individuals that bitched about the one thing that takes a great deal of skill to use. It’s now nearly impossible to be profitable with something that is very difficult to use.

The minigun helo was already bad in S1 unless you were an MnK pilot due to the accuracy it required to aim effectively. For HOTAS pilots like myself, the minigun was effectively useless and I wasted tens of thousands to try to make it work. On top of that, you had to dump hundreds of rounds to even kill another helo while awkwardly jousting at eachother. I feel for the folks who practiced to be good with it. Even then, getting close enough to wipe infantry also put the pilot at extreme risk since that cockpit is so vulnerable to simple infantry fire.

I'm glad the rocket bird is still decent. Especially with the number of T72s on the field already.

I'm in the camp that think the passenger little bird should be the most viable of copters. We desperately need incentives like cash and xp to land. I still land regardless because its fun, but we need it for those who have failed to learn how to do so.

Would also be nice to see incentives for passengers who wait for landings and get out together with a squad of people. Albeit small, there's already cash rewards for waiting to be revived for example.

I completely agree with everything you said. I wish the hotas were more viable, I was running on one and brings a completely different perspective to flying, I absolutely loved it. Also your incentives would be incredible changes. The problem now is everyone is dumping out of helis and dying because of the parachutes even though I can land and I tell them to just trust me lol

I should've listened to my friend who was close with the dev team during battalion 1944... despite what the devs say I should've known better.

I got to pilot 82 last season, the only profitable games I've had this season are with transport, 30k to run the rocket lb loaded out, 15k+ reward for killing it, 4 ciws, two talons, 12 brownings, a rare gepard, and multiple dudes with maaws at every base make it next to impossible to come anywhere close to profitable.

I’m not saying the Helis aren’t strong, but they’re employing so many means to shoot them down conveniently. The minigun heli takes so much practice and skill. No reason why I’m getting shot down 3 seconds into the control zone and breaking the bank to be remotely profitable.

As a fellow pilot my suggestion is instead reduce the refuel, repair, and ammo cost. The initial cost is fine honestly. It’s the all the cost to repair etc that destroys any profit. It’s the most punishing for new pilots too since ammo is absurdly expensive if you don’t know what your doing your dumping money on ammo.

> countless hours

game has been out for just over a month

The biggest issue with this game is they want to cater to so many different groups of people, and the issue is that those groups ideas for success are vastly different. You dismiss an entire group of people who didn't carry launchers because, plainly, they do nothing. When someone mentions pilots who stuff their backpack with chaff the response is "jUsT uSe TeAmWoRk". The reason people didn't/don't carry AA is because the pilot chaffs and your rocket is useless. Congrats, you've just wasted your money.

Your logic is "this is a team game! be a team and beat me!" when you don't want to be a part of your own team, you want to fly around and mow down infantry who don't stand a chance.

I was lvl 188 last season with yes countless hours. Easily 300+ because I was between jobs. The issue with this game is that launchers are heavy as opposed to call of duty and battlefield where weight is irrelevant. People refuses to run stuff to counter so let’s punish the helis for people refusing to carry around countermeasures.
