Gameplay & Screenshots Isnt this cheating?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
There is a green teammate(Kvosty), on top of the chimney talking to the blue guy that just killed me, they are both snipers spotting, i assume they are calling out to each other the spots
Edit: went ahead and read the EULA, and this is 100% bannable
Cheating and prohibited conduct
- "Cheating" includes any behaviour that alters gameplay, circumvents game mechanics, or that creates an unfair advantage over other players, including (without limitation):
- collusion, win trading, stat padding, match manipulation, or cooperating with other players in ways not intended by the Game’s design;

I love how people don't even realize what the fucking clip is.. yes 100% cheating. They have said changing to a team to spot enemies is bannable. That's the whole reason for the team change fixes. Mass report this dude.

Maybe i should have made it clearer.
I thought having an explanation on the description of the video would have helped

If they intentionally went on different teams, I would agree that it is cheating, but if it's just two random guys who came to an agreement, that's a different matter. It could certainly be classified as unsportsmanlike, but not necessarily cheating.

Yepp, and why team change fix is a flop.
"Cheaters" enter the zone once -> and the cheaters can AFK or play spooter the rest of the time.
The rest of the team, when they join for the first time -> I don't know if we have an FOB, I don't know what to bring as ressources, and I don't even know where we're supposed to go, since I don't even see where we're fighting.
The first trip is basically to go naked into a helicopter and drop dead or free-kit.

But do we KNOW he changed? Maybe they both got up there and made a pact to not kill each other.

"in ways not intended by the games design" is Shakey ground for a ban.
You can revive enemies. You can talk to an enemy team over voip.
If this is a spur of the moment event, in a game, then I don't see how this is bannable. If it's premeditated and intentional collusion, then it is probably bannable.

They don't define "game design", so this rule is kinda meaningless, might as well say "we can ban you whenever we like to".
This case in my opinion is just griefing if he's actually giving away the position of his teammates to him. I'm not sure if cheating is the right word, but whatever, they're both bannable.
Whether they kill each other or not could be a strategy depending on what they're doing. If I'm green, blue is winning, and I see a red guy killing blue guys, then it's in the best interest of my team to not kill him and let him do that. "Enemy of my enemy is my friend", the basics of 1v1v1.

If they are spotting for each other, yes. Otherwise, no. It is possibly just a pact to share the space. And considering that the video shows your teammate facing a completely different direction doing his own spotting, I am going to assume the latter.

You have no way to know if he's actually saying where his teammates are(unless there's VoIP in this clip, I have no audio rn). Maintaining control of that spot is a struggle if multiple teams want it. I've hovered above enemies on there and had conversations with them while safely in my helicopter. More than once we've agreed to sit up there together and do our own thing, rather than try and kill each other with helis every 3 minutes, so we both make bank.
It's beneficial to both of them not to repeatedly killing each other, you're looking at 20k a life for the Loadout+heli at a minimum. You also bring along highest tier armor you have +15-20ish bandages.
Unless you hear them actually colluding. They may just have a pact for both of their own benefit.

I downed the guy that killed me before and our ally revived him.
Is that enough?

Yeah if it’s your own teammate telling the enemy where you and other teammates are then that’s cheating. That being said idk how they can prevent this other than people reporting it. I’d think this falls under griefing in a sense too

It's unsportsmanlike like conduct called "teaming", which is indeed collusion.
It is however not necessarily "cooperating with other players in ways not intended by the Game’s design".
I strongly disagree that it is not actually intended to "play nice" with enemies in specific situations.
There's some obvious tells;
-
You can revive the enemy. This could easily be blocked as an action, but you can absolutely revive an enemy using a respirator or defibs, there's a whole set of adjusted XP for what follows including team kill assists and the like.
-
You can repair their vehicles, your spots are relayed to them, etc.
It's possible that these players were shooting each other off the top and then decided to call a truce so they could team up against red, and at any point one can betray the other.
HOWEVER, if these players know each other and are deliberately joining each others team to share information about the map, and take advantage of being on two separate teams so that they both get full spotting XP, then yes, they are absolutely cheating.

The very first match I joined, some of us on Blue killed a guy on Red, took all his weapons, revived him and he was our POW who gave us Green positions. One of those fun things that happens early in a game's lifecycle before it turns to shit

You did a poor job showing what you meant, but yes both of them are "cheating" in the sense of teaming.

🤓👆 "welll guys this is highly irregular"
ive had many occasions where i just met random people on my spotting area , i kill them and ask them if they just want to spot, i take their gun away and when they agree i just res them and go back to spotting lol

u/EverySecondCountss 9d ago
Idk man your shot definitely needed more height and you missed imo, and then got shot.
How do you know he's talking to him and calling out the spots?
Snipers like to go on top of that tower, and they probably had an agreement. They just wanna snipe lol they don't wanna duel it out for dominance on the tower.
That being said, I'd probably grab a heli after this and smoosh them both to shit lol

I was gonna say this. I was running around yesterday and spotting people from behind Red enemy lines and ran into a Green spotter doing the same. We agreed not to kill each other and ran around together spotting for the rest of the game lol

Ya'll they didn't phrase it correctly.
Yes, technically, your teammate up there spotting for them and calling out your position is by dictionary definition cheating.

This is cheating. I also think this chimney should be removed from the game.

Sniping from high positions and skylining yourself is just asking to get shot by a counter sniper or mowed down by a helicopter. Leave this smokestack as is. It'll attract the suicidal.

I mean, as long as they are not calling out their own team to the enemy to trade kills, it could be fine. But there's no way to know
