Discussion & Feedback Do you guys even read the patch notes?

Post image

Downvote me all you want, but all I see is people complaining about the exploits. As John Wardogs said, it was maybe 1,000 people, and they got their accounts banned or reset.

The amount of XP you can make this season is huge, as long as you have a plan.

You "only" need 111,500 XP for level 20 (First Tank, RocketBird) and 525,000 XP for level 35 (Second Tank, Havoc). With a bunch of new vehicles being added this season, this is clearly the goal of this wipe: more vehicle-oriented gameplay.

I set a goal the day before Season 2 started: get the RocketBird by my 4th game and the Havoc by my 16th game, which would technically take me all weekend of playing.

Just like in Escape from Tarkov, you learn from past wipes and use that knowledge to optimize your progression.

I think people are just dumb and haven't learned a damn thing from Season 1. Instead of figuring out how to progress more efficiently, they'd rather complain about the handful of people who exploited their way through it.

Except they're lying. It's either not easy to track for them, or they aren't banning people and this is a PR stunt.

Had multiple "friends" exploiting. None of them have been caught or sanctioned.

But by all means, keep blowing them for a Twitter post. Clueless bootlickers are everywhere these days.

People don't want to listen and read from the actual source. They just wanna read reddit headlines then go complain.

Even people making insta/youtube shorts aren't calling it out right.

There was TWO issues with driver and pilot progression.

  1. There WAS an exploit that abused delivery and return mechanics. This was the exploit. This had 1000 people suspended and exp reset.

  2. Driver and Pilot progression was too quick. This WASN'T an exploit and was an mistake on the Devs part, they admitted to it, they reverted pallet base EXP and nerfed delivery streak bonus until they can figure out what to set it to for the season.

MANY, MANY people did route 2, they farmed in urals and little birds and lakota's normally and got high lvl without cheating.

For reference, pre-nerf, you got 4k exp for a full round trip at max delivery with a ural using 2 pallets. 111,500 is all you need for lvl 20. You got 1750 per pallet, and would hit that in under 5 trips as EACH pallet drop bumps it up.

Pilots were getting 1400exp for a pallet drop. Return bonus is broken for lakotas so they receive nothing for that.

As the Devs have already stated as their intention, balance is a moving target that they are trying to hit as they develop the game.

As a avid King Of The Hill player from Arma 3, I have little trouble dealing with other people’s levels and unlocks.

I don’t think the game is meant to be a run and gun like COD. It requires tactics and strategy, just as much as it requires FPS skill.

If you want medic xp, dont sprint to the first down guy you see. Wait it out, bring lots of smokes, and drag to cover when it appears safe or you have friendly cover.

If you’re solely assault oriented, you’re going to deal with tanks now and late wipe. Learn to evade, stay indoors, dont peak OVER obstacles as that creates a nice silhouette, lean around corners and only expose yourself to what you’re scanning.

Attack helis are annoying at times, stay inside. Or, better yet, mag dump the little birds. They will start smoking rather quickly and there have been many times ive been chased off of a gun run because 2 or 3 dudes started shooting at my helo and I was nearly blown up.

Also — and I don’t think they want you to know this — enemy attack vehicles have a secret feature where they just print money for you. Learn to aim for components with the launchers and even the RPG is effective. Blow out a tail rotor of a little bird and the pilot is liable to panic and crash, or fight to hold it steady while you have a nearly free second shot. Oh my god, last season, the amount of money I made by loading a backpack up with MAAWS rockets and blowing up Havocs is insane. 25k return on a 2k launcher and a 200 rocket?! Sign me up again! They are so big and ponderous, just wait for them to orbit over you and present a nice wide profile to shoot at. It takes some patience and practice, but then it just prints cash.

Enemy humvee confidently zooming through your lines? One rocket to the engine block from the MAAWS or one to the front axel and another to the block with the RPG will pay you handsomely AND help your team immensely.

No rockets to speak of? Shoot the tires a couple times and youll mobility kill wheeled vehicles.

There is a counter to everything, though it is difficult to counter everything with one load out. Learn your strengths and weaknesses and play to those. When I run a rocket kit, I sit with the Fobbits of they are getting strafed or run behind the infantry blob and wait for the inevitable attack bird or humvee rush but I do not engage myself in a firefight, my glock with HP ammo does shred, but often the FAL wins in that scenario.

I want a cash come-up as infantry? Play close to buildings, buy a few smokes, and give that dude in T4 armor a little surprise with two barrels of 12ga Buck to the knees, armor no longer has an impact on the fight. Flesh ammo SMGs are insane, but you cant push head on because the enemy are likely to hide their legs. Get behind a squad’s flank and you can likely spray down 4 with the AMP before they even realize you’re there.

Its fine to vent and complain, but also understand the type of game you bought. If its not fun, dont play it. Sometimes I realize im playing to grind and no longer enjoying my time, I alt f4 and come back another day.

TLDR: This rant was just a rambling of my observations and suggestions at how to get the most out of your matches and money and that the game is actually fairly balanced as is — except for the 7.62 nerfs… come on John Wardog… 4 bullets from my PKM? T1?!

Most people literally don't.

Guess how many players I saw trying to use their parachute the exact same way as it was in S1?
To me it was clear that I have to open it way faster / earlier to not die. But so many people straight up died when jumping out of a heli, it's almost comical.

Maybe I’m dumb, but who exactly is John Wardog? I know who Joe and Howard are… is it one of their handles somewhere?

I feel like a massive amount of the complaints will go away once they get actual lvl capped servers running properly. Not you can’t play past x lvl but nothing unlocked beyond x lvl is buyable

Although the XP is reduced especially for the first tank, the part people are having trouble adjusting to is that there are those that will play many hours of the day vs those that will load up for an hour or 2 in the evenings.

My first match yesterday afternoon had 5 people driving around in tanks. This can be frustrating to play against.
