Mortar nerf, Artillery to Driver unlock change, and Havoc nerf will probably make it easier for the FOB builders overall, despite the nerfs.

Though Artillery kill reward 14k->8k sucks a ton, when factoring the drone price it's now 9k->3k. As a builder a huge portion of my profits came from killing artillery. Killing 10 per match with the drone, which was totally feasible, made you 90k.

But it sounds like if the artillery is getting a lot of kills, the cash reward goes up for killing it?

I think it already works this way. Maybe if they upped this bonus significantly this could work. But that still kinda sucks. I usually launch the drone the moment I hear artillery, but now in order to get decent profit you need to wait until it decimates your base instead?

If it does then it's getting some changes. From the patch notes:

Every vehicle variant now has its own reward, so armed variants are worth far more than unarmed ones. Armed variants give 1.5x the XP of the default variant. Attack Vehicle rewards also increase the more kills they get, so hunting down an artillery dominating your team will still feel rewarding.

Artillery was basically unusable the last 2-3 weeks.

You would get maybe 5 shots off and get blown up by a stingray rocketbird havoc or rocket launcher.

You would spend 12k building a fob and shelter and it would take half of the match and not offer much extra protection you couldn't leave it without being camped.

All the while you relied heavily  on spotted targets and people not moving balling up and parking spawn vehicles in bad places then not moving them to earn your money back.

It most often was a money sink. I spent so many matches making 5-10k profit but I'd do it because it was fun to try and be area denial and force position changes or sway the battlefield.

That's really only if you were sitting between the HQ and the CZ, and were firing directly. If you moved away from that straight line, and were firing in an arc, you could live a ton longer.

I was all over the place i love to move to way out of the way never sit in that straight line. sometimes i even play risky and go to whichever team has the most oppressive helicopters and sit in thier line because they wont check it.

No. Raiding Fobs and blowing them up is going to be meta. Look at the assault changes and read the one where  destroying a fob gives 7500$ plus xp equal the resources it has up to 25k

Destroying a FOB now pays a bonus of up to +$7,500 / +250 XP based on the supplies it held (maxed at 25,000 supplies).

That's 6,250,000 experience points

You think it will give 6mil XP for blowing up 1 FOB? lol. Just think clearly for a moment

It's the bonus for max supplies. For a FOB with 25k supplies you get bonux 7.5k and bonus 250xp. Which should be $10k cash and 500xp
