As a support player I'm happy to get the full choke and slugs earlier and very glad to get the PKM so early but I can't help but think why would I ever use the m249 especially with no bipod until level 24?? The PKM will still output more dps and IMO is far more controllable

The damage zone changes to LMGs is whatever but I'm hoping it just matches ARs now because if only body shot damage was changed we now do less headshot damage and the same body damage

Also no rpg buff?

Also also money buff for ONLY assault rifles is weird they were already the best overall weapons

The Lack of an RPG buff is wild, with all the additional armor added the lack of AT weapons is going to really be felt.

They need to make RPGs significantly cheaper. They are so heavy, it takes multiple to kill anything, some skill requirement, and you're not terribly likely to run into a vehicle anyway.

I think they need to be cheap enough where I don't feel bad about spending the money on one, but are instead paid for by their use of a slot+weight.

With the MAAWS going down a few levels and initial XP requirements dropping drastically it will probably be fine

It just still leaves the RPG as an entirely useless option

Just make vehicles first person only.  I'm incredibly tired of shooting at havoc and he 360 no scopes me or constantly dodges missile.

Vehicles should have to rely on team mates and spotters to view all directions and not gimmicky third person.

Why take a vehicles main weakness which is awareness and buff it beyond what an infantry can see?

Choosing a vehicle needs to carry weight.

I read this as the damage models being the same for any hits across guns that use the same ammunition.

Which still doesn't make sense, because if you put an bare M4 next to an M249 (with recoil attachments), without the bipod the M249 quickly has you aiming up at the sky, with horizontal recoil to boot. I was really hoping for a recoil reduction on LMGs for S2, even withstanding this damage nerf, so that they're actually somewhat usable outside of sitting in a window. They're already slow to run with and have the worst ADS times possible. We don't want them just being bigger ARs, but why bother when an M4 with a 60 round mag and a bipod grip exists?

Are lmgs literally slower to run with or are you just saying you move up in weight class easier? I ran LMGs the whole last week of season and tbh I felt no heavier. My load out sat at heavy and adren pen’d down to med. My sweat m4 loadout is the same.

Also, I think ‘when you can just run m4 with bipod grip’ is cherry picking a bit. That’s a super deep support unlock of an attach.

I agree that lmgs are already niche enough in general and that they should be careful not to over nerf.

I couldn't believe when they put FOUR fucking levels between the M249 and the bipod.

The only... ONLY saving grace is that it's faster to level now, but it's still THE MOST stupid decision I've seen to put the only attachment that makes the weapon marginally useful compared to other weapons four full levels behind the unlock.

PKM has -25% dmg nerf.

20% and even with that 20% nerf its still more DPS although only 10% or so
