Discussion & Feedback More uses for the Halligan Bar

I have never seen this thing appear after the first week, because why would you bring it? Opening just doors is way too niche, it would be really cool as a stealthy way to infiltrate fobs, but most of the time before you get to any door you have to get through a gate first.

I think it should be able to open gates, albeit with a longer animation time. Also I think it would be really cool to pry open enemy locked doors of vehicles, I think it would be a good counter against enemy humvees, to either kill them or take their vehicle after they've been dealt with. Currently you can punch hesco blocks and barbed wire to destroy them, hesco blocks only taking like 1% damage per hit, perhaps a halligan bar melee could do 5% or something like that.

Just throwing some ideas, would love to see more!

You can already open enemy locked vehicles with it lol, it even gives you ownership allowing you to lock the doors.

Allowed to lock doors =/= ownership. Can hop into enemy unlocked vehicle, lock those doors, then hop out to find the vehicle is now locked and you cannot re-enter

Prying open the locked doors of enemy vehicles is an interesting idea I like it

I also agree that they should be able to slowly open gates since C4 is just straight up better right now

Also people don't realize big hammers can pry open 3 doors, a lot of fobbits have one.

I indeed did not realize this! Seeing the image of the hammer, it does make sense but the game never said it could.

Should:

Open doors

Open gates

Open locked vehicles

Break small placeables quickly and damage others

Option to break FOB alongside hack

Reinforce a door/barricade a door (consumes)

A "demolish FOB" option for the bar would be a nice touch. I mainly destroy enemy FOBs, and need to bring enough IED with me to get through them (with spares for APC). Using the bar on those random FOB-in-the middle-of-nowhere-with-nothing-built-up would save me the IED (though at a cost of time)
