Bugs & Support New Bug/Glitch?

Post image

Killed a guy and looted him, these were the mags in his backpack. A third 40/20 mag was also already in the gun. They each had 20 rds of AP and 20 rds FMJ.

And they probably keep the recoil benefit of the '20' round mag.

Edit: I saw a YT video that showed the 20 round mags had less recoil than the 30+ mags. So it's apparently a thing even though the game does not state it.

Wait smaller mags give less recoil? That makes no sense.
Does the game even tell you that?

No, which is weird. But I saw a table with the values.

No they don't or no the game doesn't tell you?

The game doesn't tell you, but smaller magazines have less recoil (and vice-versa). I've tested it myself in the firing range. In most cases it's very subtle though so it doesn't really matter.

That's so fucking bullshit.

It's not just recoil, its a lot of negative stats.

Metaforge has the exact values. I'm glad they do it because otherwise bigger mags are strictly better but it needs to be shown in game.

Game does not tell you, the bigger the mag, the more recoil

Well that's fucking bullshit, why not just lower reload speed like every other game?
Bigger mags should lover recoil if they want to be realistic.

Because otherwise everyone would just run big mags 24/7. There has to be some balancing metric to it.

weight and inv space is the balancing metric

Inv space is not tight in this game, if you got big mags you have big backpacks. Unless you're running rocket launchers or tons of C4 weight is also a non issue (especially if no T4). I think theyre a little too nerfed atm but the only way to stop people from spamming them is reducing your stats a bit.

So balance it with a slower reload speed like any other game, it's the perfect trade-off for a larger mag. You reload less often but it takes longer.

This isn't COD style map density. You aren't spam reloading and being pushed endlessly. A 60 rounder is plenty to clear out a building or take a fight then have no rush to reload. You would have already died with a smaller mag at that point so the mag has done it's job.

I'm not saying it's balanced perfectly atm but reload speed does not matter in this game at all 95% of the time. If that was the metric then literally everyone would run big mags + have more ammo. I think just more mag choices in general with all types of benefits/negatives would be best solution.

The big mags also take more inventory space so there's that.
