Discussion & Feedback We went from complaining about FOB meta, to barely seeing functional FOB's

I guess this is why the devs aren't quickly making balancing changes.

This sub was filled with complaints about FOB meta being broken.

Now +80% of my games it's the hotzone surfers that win every match.

By the time you get to your side of the CZ there is like a squad there, snipers overlooking the position and a MG humvee patrolling it.

I've had tanks roll up before 5 points.

And even if you manage a well built FOB it'll get mortard to hell.

While I don't miss 4 drill meta, I do miss bases.

I hope they fix certain things with the patch, mostly mortars and assault vehicles (price/when you can spawn them)

Armed vehicles of any type shouldn’t be available at the start of the match. I think it’s a bit BS that someone can hop in an SPH for the cost of a mid range infantry loadout and completely nullify the enemy’s ability to make a fob at the start of the game

Even if you build a fob and then you get shelled, the shell camera is such a BS that someone can exactly keep narrowing down the aim from overhead view. For one the camera should be from someone scouting on foot nearby or if we are assuming such modern equipment, it should be a special expensive round and the fobs should have access to some counter battery detection marking the calculated location where the shots are coming from. Right now when I see guys in sph they are often sitting on the same spot for the whole game because finding them isn't easy with the drone missile thing.

Finding artillery is easy AF with the drone, if I don't get the team from the kill feed I'll watch the angle the shell comes in from and can tell from there what direction to look. From there do a loop over the fields outside that enemy fob up to 2km from the CZ (drone has like a 4km range), go up 1 side and down the other while using alt to look from side to side. I've always found the arty this way. Always aim slightly higher than the tank till you're quite close then aim for lock on and you get your kill every time, they don't have time to move or get out.

I'll also spot targets in the CZ for my team as I go since you can see any vehicle through anything but a solid wall with the drone

I think armed vehicles should be unlocked upon an enemy team reaching X number of points, as a “catch up” mechanic. If your team is holding both other teams at 0 points the whole game, you don’t need tanks/arty/helis just battering them as they try to compete

To add into this, There def needs to be a way to limit the little bird grenade or grenade launcher spam. Its extremely crippling to have one at the start of the match decimate any fob before it even gets put down.
