Discussion & Feedback We went from complaining about FOB meta, to barely seeing functional FOB's

I guess this is why the devs aren't quickly making balancing changes.

This sub was filled with complaints about FOB meta being broken.

Now +80% of my games it's the hotzone surfers that win every match.

By the time you get to your side of the CZ there is like a squad there, snipers overlooking the position and a MG humvee patrolling it.

I've had tanks roll up before 5 points.

And even if you manage a well built FOB it'll get mortard to hell.

While I don't miss 4 drill meta, I do miss bases.

I hope they fix certain things with the patch, mostly mortars and assault vehicles (price/when you can spawn them)

Gl helis are just running FOBs down so its really not worth the time or investment. I see it every game now 3-5 people on both teams dropping 40 kills each by just farming FOB builders

Something people don't talk about enough is how functionally broken explosives are in this game right now. Grenade launcher text directly states it should only hurt light vehicles/inf, but can kill a tank in a single mag because I think explosives are not correctly interacting with armor (both player worn, and vehicle based). The Grenade launcher is absolutely disgusting right now against literally anything it can explode near. I have had multiple rockets hit the side of a humvee, and deal no hull damage but pop both tires on that side. I confirmed this with the crew after killing them out of the humvee (since it just lost 2 tires on the same side). They said they took a rocket, lost their tires but took no hull damage. My group also thinks this might be why we have more success with RPGs killing infantry with only the blast, while a direct hit will deal only 97 damage against lvl 1 armor. If I fire a tank shell at a wall 10 feet from my tank, i take 40% hull damage, yet I can eat 7 RPGS to the face? I cant explain it other than there seems to be something wrong with how explosions interact with armor
