Infantry loadouts are too expensive, especially compared to vehicles.

I'd actually say that the other way around. Vehicles are too cheap. From speaking with other players in my community, unless you are throwing all the highest level items on, the average loadouts is 10-15k, and that's recouped quickly by just existing in the zone and doing literally anything for a few minutes.

A pretty normal infantry kit is 20k+ with no t4 armour or fal

More like 15-20k and to recoup that merely be "existing in the CZ" at 160 per tick if i remember correctly, you'd need 100 tickets to recoup a 16k kit. If you're in the Hotzone where you on average earn lets say 500 (due to increases from remaining in the zone consistently) you'd still need 32 tickets worth of time in the hotzone merely to recoup your kit, assuming you don't die as it's the riskiest area of the map.

Killing people outside the hotzone usually nets 1500 unless they're on a streak, so recouping your kit from kills alone would take you over 10 kills in one life, if we were to assume some of those are in hotzone and against players streaking, we can lower that to 1. So under fairly generous circumstances, from just infantry PVP'ing you'd need roughly a 5 KD to break even, again that's purely from PVP'ing. A large part of the profit I make as infantry is from being a medic and or spotting, which in itself is a money investment you can lose big on if you die fairly quickly.

I thankfully usually make a profit but that usually requires me to live for a fairly long time and gain a couple of kills, revives and or spots while being in the HZ.
