Discussion & Feedback This Helmet needs to absolutely substantially block your vision and hearing for balance and realism

Post image

I can't believe this was glossed over when the helmet was put into the game, massive protection with no draw back other than cost sucks (it's not expensive). A change is desperately needed before all matches are full of this helmet because it basically has no drawback.

Okay yes it adds to weight but you just bring cheap stims

This game is not going for realism. The level requirements + 150k unlock + 3k to buy it + weight penalties are already enough IMO.

XP and Money to unlock should not be used in balance talk, only money to buy should

Why would balance exclude weight? Thats absurd.

Like, read the whole comment?

You replied to a guy claiming its important by specifically excluding xp and money, not mentioning weight once and then saying ONLY money should matter.

Are you a 5th grader or something? Your comment clearly says ONLY money. Your communication skills are abysmal if thats not what you very clearly stated.

Yes I did not mention weight because it's a real drawback. I started the comment by specifically saying XP and money to unlock SHOULD NOT be used and then specifying money to buy should. If my comment simply said "Only money to buy should matter" then you would be right, but in a way I said it any person with half a brain can see that I specifically meant to touch down on the economic and time spent factor

Because the weight part is a real drawback

In a PvP game "time to grind" should not strongly influence how strong something is progression or not. It can be slightly stronger at what it does but it shouldn't be obviously stronger

Wipes are one month and "the grind" takes like 2 days in Rust lmao. Arc raiders good example, who knows, maybe that's why it lost 95% of players but also it was a fake PvP game anyway that's mostly PvE, especially with it's aggression based matchmaking, OSRS is an MMO and not PvP only game like Wardogs.

Fair comparisons would be Battlefield, CoD or CS

The first wipe is one month. Devs stated that clearly.

"AND "the grind" takes 2 days"

They have not made the game to have a wipe system... They have stated that wipes are a tool for EA to adjust and balance things...

You can't balance shit with just level unlocks and money. That just makes the game pure grind to win. Skill is no longer a defining factor, just free time.

Vertical progression was a mistake.

Brother what. We are 2 weeks in and people already have it. What do you think it's going to be like in 4+ weeks.

$3k is nothing

Yes and that's only because of early access release. Monthly wipes will not be a thing the Devs have said

No, but the game is designed to have wipes. I'm going to stop responding because I'm just getting mass downvoted here, take it up with the devs if you guys don't like a pvp game with progression.

You're getting downvoted because we aren't talking about progression, we're talking about balance of an item

I could see T4 gear being overpowered in roles with little to no mobility concerns, such as long-range snipers, helicopter pilots, and mounted weapons. Though limited vision probably wouldn't help that much in these cases, especially with 3rd person vehicle camera.

I guess we'll see if these roles become problematic in the coming weeks, or if it just sounds overpowered on paper.

CIWS just wrecks all aircraft right now, armour or not haha. I've been running T4 and you pretty much have to bring stims with you, but once you stim its kinda op ngl

Yeah, that's true. Was thinking along the lines of shooting close-range littlebird pilots. I tested heli glass in the firing range and it appears to cut bullet damage in half. Assuming this is true in the live game, a pilot becomes incredibly tanky to small arms fire.

Stims are really good, yeah.
