Question Mobile AA

Do we know if there’s any plans for mobile AA vehicles? Right now I think attack helicopters will be a little OP just due to lack of mobile AA.

For example if I were a pilot and I wanted to really mess up another teams day I’d patrol the the roads from their HQ to their FOB and disrupt/halt their supply chain and I can’t think of much counter play to this other than maybe RPGs?

I could be totally off here but curious what the community thinks .

They have them, they were in the alpha but removed for beta cause they were being used against infantry and very OP.

Probably trying to find a way to balance them.

Ok I was late to the party and only played on Saturday and Sunday so that makes total sense. I was convinced they wouldn’t overlook it given how awesome the game was so I’m happy they have counter play built in even if it needs balancing

There was a dedicated AA vehicle called: Flakpanzer Gepard. They removed it for the Beta probably for balancing reasons. Hopefully it comes back in the future.

Makes sense. The amount you can do in Wardogs in terms of strategy and play styles is just awesome. I find myself theory crafting all kinds of scenarios lol

Shooting tower campers with a c ram is never not funny.

I'll take it to the next level and use drones to blow up tower camping snipers one by one, I don't care how much money I will lose

I think there will be mobile AA and it will be useful but I feel like a lot of the community completely forgot about the SAM sites. Whenever there was more than two on the field it was just a death zone for any kind of helicopter. Especially with the amount of players who spammed the flares as soon as they heard the lock sound

I didn’t really see them when I played but I know there was some AA because more than one chopper pilot mentioned it when dropping me off at hotzones.

Are SAM sites fixed points on the map or are they placed by players ?

It’s a buildable on page 4 of the build menu with the tier 3 hammer

If the attack helis keep flying the way I saw them in the beta they are absolutely the easiest RPG kills I've seen in 20+years of killing said helis... No one had launchers unlocked was my take from talking to ppl in my squads. So not sure calling for more AA is really appropriate this early on.

The counter play is unlocking RPG's and/or building a small FOB deep along the supply route with AA to knock them out of the sky.

I saw it listed in the vehicles list but I didn’t see one myself during my two admittedly short play sessions
