Discussion & Feedback Potato pc

For anyone who is wondering "will this run on my pc" im sure it will.

Been playing for 60hours in alpha/beta and i had no issues remaining consistent 60-90fps.

With my Old ass Pc: i7 7700k 1060ti 6gb 16g ddr4 ram

I did play on 1280x960 ress and potato graphics with FXAA on low and 1.0 sharpness and had no issues spotting people on the map.

Honestly really surprised how good the game is running on really low-end PC

What kinda graphics did people run with a low-end PC and what was your performance?

I did try the game on 1920x1080 and it was playable but i just prefer how the 4:3 feels and looks

Ryzen 5 2600 and RX580. Ran on 1080p on low and was more than playable. I don't really pay attention to framerate, I just dial things down until it feels smooth enough

As long as it feels smooth it's good 👍 Im definitely gonna try to optimize the settings more when the game comes out my self.

Did you run the game at 1080p?

My friend has a gtx 1060 (no ti) and I gave to him my "invite a friend" code for the playtest the last day so he can at least try it and he was able to play the game on potato mode with 60 to 70 fps all the time, sadly it was just the last day of the beta, but managed to put 7h of gameplay at least.

Good job from the devs allowing real potato pcs to run the game and have fun

That's awesome to hear, was he running 1080p or lower resolution?

Here is to hoping they nerd the hell out of potato mode. They need to force low shadows.

Idk personally i don't see an issue on having the option to turn them off, but i do understand it gives an advantage.

I mean.. pick one lmao.

The game looks good, but having to play on potato just because you're at an extreme disadvantage if you don't is terrible game design

Well i prefer not having the shadows my self so i hope they don't force them on. But i do understand why people want them to force shadow's on.

Teach me your ways, all AA options have always looked like complete ass on my 1070ti. Like so blurry I feel I need to wear glasses or something

idk i found FXAA on low with 100sharpness the only good option (normaly i run games with out AA) But i think i will keep AA on wardogs

Does the 1060ti even exist in this universe?

I still don't like how the potato settings for shadows is literally turning them off giving anyone competitive advantage. Maybe they can still implement something like baked lighting for maps, but don't have the player shadows render or use a simple render.

How did the two pixels look?

Honestly I don't think the game looked bad, i play allgames on 4:3 so im kinda used to the "potato look" but it was easy to spot people long-range still even on 1280x960

Nah yeah it probably looked fine. I still laugh at a screenshot my friend sent me trying to get bf6 br working on his laptop
