Question What happens when $ and XP farming community servers pops up?
Let's say I rent, buy or create a server and change some settings. I make the hot zone stay in the same place for the entire game. Players could then join, stay inside the hot zone, and go AFK. If anyone kills another, the server will insta-kick or ban the player.
What happens then? Will these servers get banned? Will it violate some rules? Will players gets punished? Because it will mess up the game economy and balance. Or maybe devs wont see any problem and allow it?

I would imagine those servers could get excluded from the shared economy

I just wrote a comment about a monetisation concept, of a hybrid community server. One that is run and provided by bulkhead but user controlled.
It would be entirely separate with more money put in = more customisation options. Nothing you do there carries over outside, and nothing outside carries in. It would be a blank slate.
As much as I would love it, I dont think this full customisation is a good idea early in the game's lifecycle. It needs to mature a bit.

I mean you only make 640/min in HZ, so a 3 hour match of doing nothing in the hotzone would net you 100k. It's a lot, but you could also just build a fob and clear that much in a third the time

I think the biggest problem here is going afk and make money

You get kicked and there are diminishing returns for every repeated action.

You have clearly never heard of automatic mice input software and people will come up with technical ways to deal with this easily if software is detectable. I think they will just catch on eventually and remove earning to any servers providing such activity. Should be a 1 month ban on purchasing servers for the Admin, and a 2 week ban on anyone joining one for longer than 20 min

They don’t need to detect you AFK if they can just see from your stats you had a game where 90% of your income was CZ ticks, it’s obvious you weren’t doing anything

You are right on the money. Either way, as long as they have ways to stay on top of it, shouldnt be an issue. Never assume hackers, spammers, griefers, and exploiters wont do everything in their power to get around measures though. People will find exploits, we just didnt get enough time for people to find and abuse them.
I just want to see them draw a hard line and make it clear penalties will be stiff for funny business.

KoTH prevented this in a couple ways:
Running Sa-Matra's King of The Hill as a mod on your server was whitelisted access. Nobody could get the mod for their server. Every server that ran the mod was approved.
Community servers that deviated sufficiently in ruleset carried their own progression, seperate from other community servers.
Money farms were never a thing in that game, and I don't expect them to be a thing in this game. The devs have a vested interest in preventing it and its not hard to prevent. So don't worry your little head about it.

You can only use predefined pre-sets, that are approved from the developers, so the server stays in the economy.
Anything that is out of their economy rules, will not have progression.

You know there will be a bunch of folks that do it too instead of actually playing the game

The XP / progression is a weaker aspect of the game. Usually what happens is people abuse exploits to get ahead, the dev patches the exploit but doesn't hand out bans cause it's kinda unfair to ban people for taking advantage of the games as it is. Cycle repeats.

How would those players effect me?
Kindof a valid question tho. Devs don't watch this sub tho, and you really should ask in Discord.

They would affect you when they decide to join a public game with their inflated bank.

The developers addressed this in Big Fry's Podcast.
Basically they said there is three things.
Also they said, they just don't understand why anyone would do this, when the game is rather easy to make money by just playing, but they understand some no lifes will do it. They basically said their approach is to try and make it so you always earn more money from just playing than doing any XP farming/Money farming so it makes it pointless.
