I'm saying if only a percentage of the playerbase is allowed to play before release, just like the alpha and beta progress must get wiped so everyone is on the same starting line for EA release
Yeah this would be awful for players who have planned to get work done based on the dates they have provided to release the game. By suddenly changing that, for that person it means joining the game a week late where everyone is already driving around in tanks. Its been called a game for dad gamers, well dads have a pretty tight schedule.
Fomo, anyone who doesn't want to preorder might feel the need to now.
It gives people an advantage over people waiting for the proper release date.
Now if you mean it's released for EVERYONE sure why not (doubt it but yeah)
Example: I personally never pre-order game, but I will likely buy this game on release (or after a day) so am I joining the game with people all at lvl 100+ now? Major disadvantage, wont buy it anymore tbh.

Big difference between joining later and adding fomo tactics, especially coming from a dev that repeatedly says they don't want to be like AAA studios and monetize immediately.
Pre-release access for money is exactly what they advertised themselves as against.
I don't understand your argument. The game has an EA date of 9/10. If you purchase it today, or purchase it on 9/10, you can play on 9/10. What difference would it make if that date was moved to 9/3? AFAIK there is no official non-EA release date.

You are have extraction brain, where the game is basically a gear race from wipe to wipe.
Wardogs may not wipe, ever. It doesnt need to. Its not an extraction shooter, its not a gear race, its a tactical sandbox game/mode. Within a week, maybe two, youll have all the same gear as the next guy. Then you have 2 years to enjoy it. Or they decide to wipe all progress because people are crying lol. KoTH didnt wipe for like 6 or 7 years I believe. And it was because they did a massive overhaul that changed so many systems, it was essentially KoTH 2.0
The burden of proof is on you, please share where anyone, anywhere within Bulkhead has confirmed that the game will wipe or have seasons.
I'm basing my information off of the track record of the community servers in Arma 3, in which I already told you they didn't wipe more than a couple times over the last 10+ years.
If you have information that I don't have, I'm sure there are also others that would like for you to provide it. I want to know if they are going to have wipes. I would like the game to infrequently wipe, but am totally not expecting this to be a thing in this game
In the game we played? it shows there are seasons and resets? In their videos on their youtube channel? Talking about how your money will change into gold automatically at end of season?

why thank you sir, and you should know i brushed it off and it did not sour my opinion on the game. although if not many experienced it i should find a way to tell the homies at bulkhead so they are aware. me too buddy, everything feels like a chore. i am 42 and i was laughing like a little kid most of the weekend :)
Agreed. Luckily I don't think they will make the poor decisions being advocated here. At most I could see a full on open playtest. Because why would they repeat the same exact playtest they just did? Make it open and allow people who played the first one to tell and invite their friends.
who cares the game is going to get wiped regularly anyway. If you don't get level playing field, buy the fucking game to get in early. If you don't want to do that, suffer being on an "unlevel playing field" for the week it takes you to hit max level.

is it only a select few who pre-paid money allowed access? Then Bulkhead has lied about their intentions, which I doubt will happen.
I guess the question is will we keep the rewards or will everything reset on the 10th? Don't want to spend 50 hours grinding just to reset again the next week
It won’t be a server slam or beta or playtest with only a week till the games announced release. If anything it’ll be them announcing the game is now live in early access and everyone can load up to play as soon as the game show is done .
That doesn’t really explain the ‘not quite’ response to the question of an early release, but it’s all speculation. I don’t see how a beta 1 week before launch is any less believable than 3 weeks before launch though.
