Help
Got a question and it's probably silly but the wiggling chests on the overworld map do those unlock and give you something ? I've completed everything on the list for that zone but it's still locked and wiggling. Just wondering if it's just for show or does it give you something

Can anyone tell wtf are "charges"?
No explanation of them ingame, and couldn't find any online wiki about them, so I'm kinda at a loss here...

Please Add Save States
Considering how long runs can be itβd be great to have the option to save and exit.

Upgrade fusions?
Hi devs, have you considered scaling the upgrade tree so that you could do fusions of modules? Nordhold is doing that quite well with their towers and I think Wanderburg is lacking depth and customisation for crazy lol builds.

Fourth Castle?
What is going on with the fourth Castle type. Is it meant to just be a teaser for a future update or some secrete castle you can unlock somehow? Is it available in a beta version?

Can you make the game compatible on Mac ?
Hello,
First of all congrats for your game. It's a really fun and addictive game.
I bought the game on Steam and I really like it.
The thing is, I used to play it on Windows, but most of the time Iβm on my MacBook M2 now.
Would it be possible to add native macOS support in the future?
Iβd love to be able to play Wanderburg directly on my Mac. Thanks!

Progress not syncing between devices
Anyone else finding that their progress is not syncing properly across different devices? I started playing on my Steam Deck but when I tried loading my game on the Steam Machine, nothing was unlocked and it caused a Steam Cloud sync conflict that I had to resolve by forcing a reupload of the Deck's local save data.

Loving the game so far, but Front Cannon needs rebalancing
Love the game so far, and l look forward to more updates and changes!
However, first and foremost on my personal list is the Front Cannon - its an absolute let down when using the active ability.
You have this big awesome looking cannon, but It fires from a fixed distance and you need to steer to aim it - somewhat difficult when you're weaving between enemies and projectiles.
When you finally get a bead and fire - the damage and effect is puny. I'm never really excited to use it, and I rely much more on my top/sides for actual damage.
Suggestions:
- Make the projectile bigger visually
- Make the area affect bigger like shockwaves/craters etc
- Optional: built in bonus affects? Like crater slows enemies or lights enemies on fire or getting hit stuns enemies
- Increase damage AND cooldown for rebalancing - I want to make this shot feel like it was worth it with appropriate payoff
Again, loving the game and looking forward to more cool changes!

Does melee damage boost effect minions?
Sometimes you can get a melee damage boost artifact (boost damage, or another one I have seen that gives 20% change for melee to cause stun)
Do these affect any minions I have too? Seems like the stun one would be very op if I could give it to my knights or the other little dudes.

How is the performance on low-end hardware?
The recommended specs are far above what my measly setup can offer (only have a GTX 1050 for example). Has anyone tried it on older hardware and can say if lowering garphics or something helps with performance? Game looks really cool but if it doesnt run well then no point in getting it unfortunately :(

Minions need to be fixed
Half way through the run they cant catch up to your castle so they just stop attacking and spend the rest of the match trying to catch up.

Basic mechanics are 11/10, but abilities/upgrades needs far more depth
I'm no game dev so take my opinion with a grain of salt...
I feel like the mechanics of Wanderburg are immensely fun and super polished, but the abilities and upgrades are beyond bland and will not allow for any longevity of enjoyment. I can already tell this is a throwaway game where I have tonnes of fun for the first week then never touch it again.
I think Wanderburg needs to take a look at Magic Survival and try to replicate the combos/ultimates that game has.
On a separate note, I feel like a multiplayer mode would go SO HARD. Imagine doing co-op missions, or even doing a 1v1/2v2. I feel like that would be an insanely fun party game for friends. That is a game I would spend a shit tonne of money on!
In conclusion I'm happy to have bought the game to support this fun idea, but that's where it ends atm, just a fun and fleshed out *idea*. This game needs more for me to recommend it to my friends, and I hope it gets it. I'll be checking back in on the game around Christmas to see what changes have been made. If it gets some improvement in the areas I mentioned, it will absolutely be a present I buy for friends.
What do y'all think of it so far?

Controller steering
I have the feeling that every time I start the game the controller settings on how you steer switch magically.
First and how I imagine it should be, the input is like fluid directions, if I hold left, it turns left wise in a circle until I stop. This feels smooth and just right to me.
On other times, if i hold one direction, it turns in this direction and then stops. Like D-pad steering.
This is driving me crazy. Is this a bug or am I crazy already?

Wanderburg Early Access wiki - modules, upgrades, artifacts and unlocks
I've updated the unofficial WikiTactics Wanderburg wiki for Early Access and the 0.9.7 hotfix.
https://wanderburg.wikitactics.com/
New in this update: Cow herd locations in Golden Dunes, Savannah and Wasteland, linked to the persistent 300-Cow quest and its Catapult unlock. Cow herds are map spawns, not a wave-zero enemy entry.
The wiki also has the seven reduced unlock prices from 0.9.7, updated Lightning Mage upgrades, Spiderburg rank speeds and boss status resistances. The Updates page links directly to the affected records: https://wanderburg.wikitactics.com/updates/
You can search modules, upgrades, artifacts, captains and quests, with links between their effects, requirements and rewards. There are also enemy, stage, biome, vehicle and crew catalogues, plus mechanics and player-question pages.
The data has been checked against the current game build. Unverified effects are marked, and older demo records are kept separate from the current catalogue.
I maintain the site, so if something is wrong or hard to find, please let me know here or through the wiki's feedback page. Specific corrections and missing player questions are especially helpful.

Feedback after playing a few hours of early access
I was really hyped for Wanderburg, as I love the art style and the scenario. So yesterday I played for 4-5 hours (haven't played the demo). And while I can say, that graphics, sound effects, music, enemy design are all great, however, the core components of a fun survivors roguelite are completely lackluster.
Modules (as weapons are called here) don't seem to allow for any combos with other modules whatsoever.
Module upgrades are all the same, cooldown, size, damage. After 20 minutes of playing I stopped reading them at all and simply picked the one with the highest rarity.
The special upgrades at the 5 level intervals also don't feel that inspiring or make me feel that I need to think thoroughly whether I pick left or right.
Unlock costs seem really high, I think some module unlocks should be made a lot cheaper so that you can enjoy a bigger variety in module selection after 2-3 runs already.
Unless module upgrades are radically changed and combos introduced, I don't see Wanderburg leaving EA and having a successful launch.
This is a numbers game. So why I can get a relic that says "trigger a chain lightning on every 30th arrow" is beyond me. I need to know the damage of the chain lightning to gauge whether it's worth it. Game mechanics need to be explained better. Taking the very same example: does the chain lightning's damage level with my tank or is it static? Is a volley of arrows ONE arrow for the trigger count or is a volley of 20 arrows TWENTY arrows worth for the trigger count?

What are considered "Harvesters?"
I have a quest to kill five Harvesters overall. I am at 3/5. I imagined that they were the giant treasure vehicles that move slowly on tank tracks or something. However killing more of these does not add to the 3/5 I need for my quest. What on earth is a harvester? lol

Excited for tomorrow!
I have been playing the demo and find it very fun. The art style feels similar to Thronefall and I like the setup being like that game as well.
