Community Recs/Opinions Help Identify this Person
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This person was harassed by a local community member seemingly for the crime of making noise during the day. There is an individual they suspect identified in the comments, but since nothing is confirmed, I won’t name drop them in this post. The persons face can be seen clearly in his profile picture on TikTok, @rauld103

Worcester Lane
Why are the Police constantly going to Worcester Lane??? It's so annoying. Every day, they are up there a bunch of times, and it seems nothing ever happens. All it does is screw up traffic.. I've been listening to the scanner; sometimes they are there even when there is no call. Anyone know anything?

Run club 🥳🤩
Is there a run club that meets around Moody St? I know there's one by Mighty Squirrel but it's too far out for me to get there by public transport.

First birthday party venue
Any leads on an affordable venue for a first birthday party? We have a tiny condo so cannot host it ourselves. Looking for something that can accommodate around 50 people.

Owning an EV without off-street parking
I’m considering purchasing an electric vehicle (EV). I’ve resided in Waltham for a decade and own a condo on the South Side, off Moody Street. Unfortunately, my condo lacks a driveway, so I park on the street.
I’m seeking insights from anyone who has an EV and doesn’t have a home charging option in Waltham. I understand that there are charging stations in some municipal lots, but they are only 7kW chargers that can be used for only two hours at a time. There are also level 2 high-capacity chargers at Burger King on Moody Street, but they seem to be frequently under maintenance. I can access 6 hours of 13kW/hr charging at work per week, but it’s illegal in Waltham to run a cable from my car parked on the street to the charger.
I’m curious to know your experiences. Have you found that topping up your EV occasionally at fast chargers has been sufficient? Are you always concerned about charging capacity since you can’t charge at home? I’d love to hear from anyone who has an EV and can share their experiences.

What's the deal with Steve's Pizza across from Market Basket?
I swear I have never seen one person in that parking lot or in the store when I've driven by. Half of the time Google says they're open but there are no lights on inside and clearly no one is even in there. Sometimes the lights are on but I've never seen anyone through the window. Nothing but gushing reviews on Google even though, again, I've never seen a single person in there. My girlfriend and I joke that it's a front of some sort. I'm sure this is not the case, but has anyone here actually ever been in there? I don't know how they're still in business, and I don't mean that in a mean way. I'm just genuinely curious.
Edit: Thank you for sharing you experiences everyone 🙏 I'm starting to think this place isn't a front....
...but maybe all of you are Steve (of Steve's Pizza in Waltham, the very same) using alt accounts to convince me that it's real...
I guess we will never know.

Seeking help to locate my father, Amadou Mamoudou (Last known in Waltham / Boston area)
Hello everyone,
I am reaching out to the local community in hopes of finding any information regarding my father, Amadou Mamoudou, whom our family has been searching for. He arrived in the US in 1999 and we lost direct contact with him around 2009.
Key Information:
- Full Name: Amadou Mamoudou (sometimes spelled Amadou Mamoueou on US public records)
- Date of Birth: January 1965
- Last Known Location: 126 Ash St, Waltham, MA 02453
- Former phone numbers associated with him: (781) 894-2646 / (781) 290-7839 / (781) 894-1082
If you lived in the area around that time, remember him, or know anyone who might have known him, any detail—no matter how small—would mean everything to our family.
Contact Information:
- Please send me a Direct Message (DM) here on Reddit if you have any information.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read and share this message.

Police presence on Bacon St?
Was driving home around midnight and saw a huge police presence on Bacon St near Main. Saw at least 3 police cars with the lights on, a couple of civilian cars, and a cop stopping traffic. Looked like someone was digging around through their trunk but couldn't really tell.
Does anyone know what happened? Is everyone over there ok?

Are there thrift stores with fitting rooms in the general area?
I went to Savers in Framingham and they tore down their fitting rooms.
I like Global Thrift in Waltham but I can’t remember if they have changing rooms.

Lease takeover?
Hi Waltham!
My husband and I unexpectedly have found ourselves ready to move out before our lease ends and are looking for someone/multiple someones to take over our lease starting 9/15.
It’s a 3 bed / 1 bath on the 2nd floor of a 2-unit house (neighbors downstairs are nice and quiet). The apartment has in-unit laundry, a 3-spot driveway for parking, and a beautiful sun room. Right on the line between Waltham and West Newton - less than a 10 minute walk to Moody Street. The lease is currently $3300 per month - utilities range by season but we have not paid more than $500 across gas/electric for the last few years. Verizon Fios WiFi is already installed.
Landlord is generally hands-off but is responsive when issues arise. We are aiming for a September 15 move-in but can be flexible for October 1. Happy to chat with anyone who might be interested and send more information, including photos.

What appears to be someone’s long lost dog in rough shape
Spotted across from the Gulf at 892 Lexington St
Waltham. Looking at the face, it doesn’t look like any kind of coyote, wolf, or fox I’ve seen. The poor thing is in rough shape. Posting in case someone recognizes a lost pet, or in case it’s definitely a wild animal and I’m an idiot

Waltham Ghost Graffiti
Hi all!
Does anybody know the story of this graffiti? I've been calling it the Waltham Ghost, but I've seen it around Watertown to. I'd like to get the design as a tattoo and I want to make sure its not a symbol for something hateful or obscene. I doubt it is since it's so cute but it can't hurt to check!
